Celebrate the annual cannabis culture holiday with 4/20 celebrations, specials and more around Houston for Saturday, April 20, 2024.

For those that celebrate, this year’s 4/20 offers plenty of things to do in Houston if you’re looking to shop, dig into Delta-8 specials, or just enjoy the company of others at concerts and mingling events around town.

Pre-4/20 Celebrations & Events

  • 420 Pre-Party at Spindletap Brewery | Friday, April 19 | FREE – Kick off the culture’s holiday with a pre-party at the North Houston brewery. The Urban Flower Company sets ups a bash with live DJs, a puff-and-paint session, giveaways, and great vibes. 4pm to 10pm.
  • Afroman in Concert at Last Concert Cafe | Friday, April 19 – The rapper best known for his single, “Because I Got High” takes the stage north of Downtown for a pre-4/20 show. $30 and up. 7pm.
  • Up In Smoke Psychedelic Art Show at Bad Astronaut Brewing | Friday, April 19 | No Cover – In Northside, the local brewery hosts a psychedelic art showcase featuring a vendor market and live DJs, a black light graffiti battle, and other festive fun. 7pm to 11pm.
  • Garden Theatre presents Reefer Madness at MATCH | All Weekend | Ongoing – Opening on Friday, April 19 through Saturday, April 27, the Garden Theatre delivers a riff on the classic 1930s instructional film about the perils of the “leafy green assassin.” This parody centers on a high school drama club and the story of Jimmy, an upstanding All-American boy whose life falls apart because of the evil reefer. Showtimes vary.

Saturday, April 20, 2024

  • Final Boss: Buds & Brews at Eureka Heights Brewery | FREE – The Heights brewery celebrates 4/20 with an all-day bash, kicking off with vinyl and free donuts, plus a kolache pop-up with Deckle and Hide. Later in the day, shop local goods at a marketplace, enjoy free pinball, and catch an evening screening of Pineapple Express. 10am to 10pm.
  • All Gas No Smoke Car Meet at Bayou City Event Center | FREE – The monthly car meet-up hosts a special 4/20 celebration with Slim Thug and LE$ hosting. Come by and check out a pristine collection of exotics, muscle cars and SLABs, then stick around for an afternoon of raffles, vendors and food trucks. Noon to 4pm.
  • Canna Fest HTX at J-Bar-M Barbecue | FREE – In EaDo, the barbecue joint celebrates cannabis with more than 40 local vendors doling out smoke accessories, clothing, vintage, art and more. Live DJs will be on hand to provide the vibe, and you can dig into delicious tastes of smokey ‘cue. Noon to 6pm.
  • 420 Day Fest at Ivy House – Down Washington Avenue, this all-day party will have guest DJs spinning hip-hop, R&B and Top 40 along with bottle specials, vendors and food trucks. No cover until 4pm; $10 and up after. Noon to 9pm.

  • Sip & Puff Paint Sesh at Moon Tower Inn – The East End spot for gourmet hot dogs, burgers and local suds hosts a vendor market on 4/20, with a special themed paint session. No cover to attend; $40 to paint. 3pm to 10pm.
  • 4/20 Party at 8th Wonder Brewery | No Cover – Catch live music from Marley Moon, Dollar Disco, the Stevie Clear Experience and DJ G-Funk at this afternoon bash in EaDo. 8th Wonder will serve up their THC-infused drinks and tasty brews, Clutch City Crawfish will sling some mudbugs, and you can join the vibe with a laser show, fire breathers, stilt walkers, face painters and more. 4pm to 10pm.
  • 4/20 at Flying Saucer | No Cover – Food specials and swag giveaways are here to cure your munchies when the Downtown location of Flying Saucer delivers dank beer flights, available all day. 11am to midnight.
  • Going Green with Goody: A Comedy Showcase at the Secret Group – Larry Goodwell hosts a comedy show featuring Netra Netra Netra, Jeff Joe and Keisha Hunt, promising to keep the good vibes going with a night of potent laughs. $10. 6pm.
  • Carolyn Wonderland’s 4/20 Celebration at Continental Club – The Texas blues singer-songwriter commands the Mid-Main stage on a night that celebrates the culture’s holiday. $20 and up. 9pm.
