  • The Other Mozart at MATCH | Thursday through Saturday – See, hear and experience the story of keyboard virtuoso and composer Maria Anna von Berchtold zu Sonnenburg; Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s talented sister. 8pm nightly
  • Ray Harrington Live at Joke Joint Comedy Showcase | Friday and Saturday – Head to Joke Joint Comedy Showcase to see hilarious stand up from Ray Harrington. $16; limited comped and discounted $8 tickets available. 8pm and 10:30pm both nights.
  • Star Wars & More: The Best of John Williams at Jones Hall | Friday to Sunday – Experience music from films like Star Wars, Jaws, Harry Potter and more – all composed John Williams – live as performed by the Houston Symphony at Jones Hall. Tickets start at $35. Friday and Saturday 8pm; Sunday 7:30pm.
  • The Armageddon Dance Party at Obsidian Theater | Friday through Sunday – It’s the end of the world as we know it, and a New York couple wants to be sure everyone feels fine. This comedic farce from Cone Man Running Productions plays on human nature, the End of Days and Friday night dance parties. $20; limited discounted $10 tickets available. Times vary.
  • Urinetown at The Kaleidoscope | Friday through Sunday – Catch Bayou City Theatrics’ production of the Tony-winning musical satire that takes on corruption, love and revolution. When a severe water shortage leads the government to ban private toilets, a greedy corporation cashes in on one of mankind’s most basic needs. $30; limited discounted $15 tickets available. Showtimes vary.
  • Galveston Restaurant Week | Starts Saturday – Eat out at participating restaurants during the annual Galveston Restaurant Week to support the Galveston County Food Bank. Times, locations and prices vary
  • Bridal Extravaganza at George R. Brown Convention Center | Saturday and Sunday – Check out more than 700 display showcases, nine fashion shows, a wedding seminar and celebrity appearance during the two-day Bridal Extravaganza in Downtown. Tickets start at $15. Saturday 10am to 5pm; Sunday 11am to 5pm.
  • The Sale at Bayou City Event Center | Saturday and Sunday – Shop items from local boutiques under one roof during this massive sale that benefits the The University of Texas MD Anderson Children’s Cancer Hospital. Tickets start at $15. Saturday noon to 5pm; Sunday noon to 4pm.
