Lying 20 miles southwest of Downtown, this family-friendly suburb is one of the most affluent and rapidly growing cities in the state. As such, there is plenty to do, including brunch.

Where to Brunch in Sugar Land
- Guru Burgers & Crepes – Guru’s all-day crepe menu means you can “brunch” any day, any time. Get the crepes sweet—filled with everything from mascarpone and berries to creamy peanut butter, banana, and honey—or savory, with fillings including grilled shrimp with chipotle sauce and ham, mozzarella, and scrambled egg. Feeling a burger? The lineup is all-encompassing. Try the Ukulele, with Texas Akaushi beef, Swiss cheese, pecan-smoked ham, pineapple, and a fried egg; the Fig Newton, with goat cheese and homemade fig spread; or the Captain Planet, a black bean and quinoa burger with provolone, avocado, and spinach. - Jupiter Pizza & Waffles – A sister restaurant to Guru, this Town Square hotspot substitutes burgers and crepes for pizza and waffles. Start with some “wafflettes”—mini chicken and Belgian waffle bites topped with housemade maple cream and strawberries—for the table; then dig into a lineup of sweet and savory treats. There are omelettes, French toasts, loaded pizzas, and breakfast skillets, which come packed with things like pulled pork and caramelized onions or chicken-apple sausage and country gravy; and then there are the waffles. Get them topped simply with maple syrup and powdered sugar, or go for the gold with toppings like prosciutto and eggs, buffalo chicken, or all the makings of a s’more. - The Rouxpour – This soulful haunt throws down with a Creole-inspired brunch every weekend.
