With the restaurant-heavy Memorial City Mall and CityCentre, this teeny area of town is an absolute brunch destination. Here’s a look at the best of the bunch.

Where to Brunch in Memorial City

  • The General Public Sitting pretty in the bustling CityCentre, this fresh-faced spot offers farm-fresh food and a fun time. Sip on mimosas while you take down sunny enchiladas, stacked with green chile cream, beef picadillo, and a soft fried egg; crushed tomato shakshuka with toasted cumin and a buttered baguette to sop it all up; and grilled shrimp with cauliflower “grits.” Those looking for something a bit lunchier can dig into baby kale Caesar, bacon burgers, and green chile grilled cheese.   • Hotel ZaZa Hotel ZaZa’s Tipping Point Restaurant & Terrace offers an al fresco dining and a lounge experience overlooking the its Beach Club, with brunch options ranging from soft scramble egg wraps and lobster frittata and pimento brunch burgers to a take on steak & eggs with NY strip and huevos rancheros.   • International Smoke Wood-roasted oysters, French omelets, All-american smoked St. Louis-cut pork ribs, Asian cedar-smoked salmon, and Mexican street chicken are all on the brunch menu at this chic global kitchen.   • Liberty Kitchen at The Treehouse You can’t miss the flickering flame and scents wafting from the massive 13-foot long handmade wood-fired grill, and you won’t want to. Dine on a pork belly carnitas Benedict, absolutely loaded chicken-fried-steak and eggs, and a fried chicken & red velvet waffle with bacon jam and warm maple syrup.   • Radio Milano Order Italian-style brunch and lunch plates a la carte, or go for the gold with a three-course prix fixe feast for $30. Start with a creamy, dreamy burrata salad or light, refreshing parfait; move onto mains like Grand Marnier French toast or hanger steak & eggs; and finish with sweet stuff like tiramisu, bread pudding, or housemade fruit sorbet.   • Sal y Pimienta Go outside the brunch box with a South American buffet, featuring a rotating selection of everything from whole sucking pig and grass-fed tenderloin served with chimichurri to chilaquiles with sunny-side up eggs.   • State Fare Kitchen & BarBring friends so you can share a few small plates—think queso blanco, fried green tomatoes with lump crab, and griddled ham & pimiento cheese deviled eggs—then go for the big guns, including but not limited to dishes like XXL chocolate chunk griddle cakes, chicken-fried ribeye and eggs, big brunch burgers, and an H-Town Hot fried chicken biscuit.
