  • John Was Trying to Contact Aliens | Available Thursday, August 20 | Netflix – This documentary short tells the out-of-this-world story of John Shepherd, an electronics enthusiast, who spent over thirty years attempting to make contact with aliens. After converting his grandparent’s home in Michigan into a full-blown laboratory, Shepherd broadcasts radio signals into space in this very personal film that looks just as much into the stars as it does the human need for connection on Earth.
  • Muppets Now | Available Friday, August 21 | Disney+ With skits that include Scooter staying up too late to get the latest episode of Muppets Now to air, Dr. Bunsen and Beaker up to their usual hair-brained and inaudible experiements, Miss Piggy interviewing guest star Aubrey Plaza and more, there’s no shortage of family-friendly fun during this laugh-out-loud episode, titled “Sleep Mode”. Hosted by the entire Muppets cast, Muppets Now exudes off-the-wall energy and plenty of surprise guests. If you’re a fan of The Muppet Show, tune in for even more classic Muppet fun.
  • No Quiero Ser Tu Hermano (I Don’t Want to Be Your Brother) | Available Friday, August 21 | HBO Max – Directed by Gonzalo Badilla, No Quiero Ser Tu Hermano is a Chilean comedy that tells the story of Johnny Andrés Gaete, a 34-year-old man who has just proposed to his girlfriend. Unfortunately, the same day that Johnny decides to pop the question, his sister Constanza arrives unannounced at his home. Though not much of a relationship is left between the siblings, Costanza arrives at her lowest point after separating from her husband and in need of a roof over her head.
  • The Sleepover | Available Friday, August 21 | Netflix – After their mother is kidnapped, two children discover that she has been secretly living a double life as a thief in witness protection. With this revelation, the siblings try to hatch a plan that will save their mom from the last big job that she’s been forced to take part in.
  • Find Me in Paris: Season 3 | Available Sunday, August 23 | Hulu – A young dancer with a secret, Lena Grisky carries more than her ballet slippers to the Paris Opera School where she’s enrolled—she’s a teenage time traveler from the past. A kid-friendly drama filled with lots of laughs, Find Me in Paris continues to follow Lena into a third season as she learns even more about romance, the troubles of time travel and herself.
