See street art paintings created by more than 200 artists at Via Colori in Downtown on Saturday, November 22 and Sunday, November 23, 2014.

UPDATE 11/21/14: Saturday events have been cancelled due to rain. The festival will start at at 10am on Sunday, November 23, 2014

Visitors enjoy art, hop-scotch, face painting and live music at Via Colori Street Painting Festival. In addition to the 200 artists hard at work, six artists will showcase their 3D chalk art, with a special performance from Master 3D speed painter Doug Rouse on Saturday afternoon.

Entertainment Line-up at Via Colori

Three stages will provide a line-up of entertainment for the entire weekend.

Saturday

  • Lone Star Hippies | Main Stage – noon to 1pm
  • Steve Gilbert | Lounge Stage – 12:15pm to 1:15pm
  • Eric Demmer and The Sax Dawgs | Main Stage – 1:30pm to 2:30pm
  • Lucas Eason and the Panhandlers | Lounge Stage – 1:45pm to 2:45pm
  • La Sien | Main Stage – 3pm to 4:15pm
  • The Mighty Orq | Lounge Stage – 3:15pm to 4:15pm
  • Hybrid Soulz | Lounge Stage – 4:45pm to 5:45pm
  • Jerk Store | Main Stage – 4:45pm to 6pm

Sunday

Various local and family friendly community acts will also play throughout both days on the Community Stage starting at noon.

Additional Games & Activities

Guests will also have the opportunity to form a team of one to four or five to six people and compete in the IKEA Scavenger Hunt. The two-day hunt will include 21 clues and prizes for the teams that finish in the top three.

A Mood Lounge ticket will get you access to the lounge and exclusive access to special events like Bubbly Brunch with Barefoot, The Art of Sound and Moonlit Stroll with Blue Moon Brewmaster.

All proceeds from ticketed events benefit The Center for Hearing and Speech.

  • Times: 10am to 6pm Saturday; 10am to 6pm Sunday.
  • Location: Hermann Square, 900 Smith St, Houston, TX 77002
  • Parking: Street parking is available and additional parking can be found at Heritage Parking Garage and Allen Center Garages for a fee.
  • Admission: Free to attend. Mood Lounge tickets are available for $45.
