- Waller County Fair in Hempstead | Monday, September 26 to Saturday, October 1 – Help support and promote livestock-lovin’ youth in Waller at a week-long celebration of events, live music, and more. Kids can enjoy the carnival games and rides, plus don’t miss out on the rodeo, calf scramble and other animals on the fairgrounds. Day passes are $30; $5 for ages 6 to 12; free for ages 5 and under. - Segundo Barrio Children’s Choir at Children’s Museum Houston | Thursday, September 29 | FREE – In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, watch a performance by Houston’s first and only bilingual choir for children as they perform on a special Free Family Night in the Museum District. 6:30pm.
- Raya & the Last Dragon Movie Screening at Levy Park | Friday, September 30 | FREE – Bring the family out to see an outdoor screening of the 2020 Disney animated film, Raya & the Last Dragon, at Levy Park. 7:30pm.
- Raptor Fest at Houston Audubon’s Raptor and Education Center | Friday, September 30 & Saturday, October 1 – Celebrate the owl, eagles and other predatory birds that hunt with their feet at this two-day festival that offers diorama crafts, coloring pages, painting, mask-making, face painters, games and more. - Oktoberfest at Sugar Land Town Square | Saturday, October 1 | FREE – Flying Saucer Biergarten opens up more than 50 taps for a Bavarian Oktoberfest celebration in Sugar Land, also featuring a vintage and crafts Boho Market with 50 local makers. - Salsa y Salud at Miller Outdoor Theatre | Saturday, October 1 | FREE – Get movin’ and shakin’ to the high-energy performances of Foundation for Modern Music as they celebrate 10 years with a night of salsa performances, dance theater, visual arts and more fun for the whole family. 7:30pm.
- Houston Pride Brand presents Anime-zing at MATCH | Saturday, October 1 – The Houston Pride Band performs music from beloved video games and animated series in a concert that celebrates the worlds of gaming, anime and cartoons. $15. 8pm.
