- Spring Break at George Ranch Historical Park | Starts Saturday, March 12 – Giddy up for a darn tootin’ good time during spring break at the Fort Bend historical park. Learn about Texas history with costumed interpreters, take historic home tours, get involved in hands-on activities, see historical demonstrations, and more. Some days will also feature special programming. $15; $10 for ages 4 to 12; free for ages 3 and under. 9am to 5pm.
- Rock the Block Street Festival at Children’s Museum Houston | Saturday, March 12 – Bring the kids to the Rock the Block Street Festival for a slate of activities like a live DJ, inflatable games, live performances, a dunk tank, and colorful Art Car parade cars. - Spring Break Destination Celebration at Fort Bend Discovery Center | Saturday, March 12 – Bring the kiddos to enjoy non-stop adventures every day for Spring Break at Fort Bend Discovery Center. Have a blast with giant building blocks, decorate and wear your own mohawk crown, create your own ’80s-style shades and more, all week long. Included with general admission; $15 for ages 1 and up. 10am to 6pm.
- St. Patrick’s Day Parade at Market Square Park in Downtown | Saturday, March 12 | FREE – Celebrate the luck of the Irish at the 62nd Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade, now with a new route through Historic Market Square, where you can continue the fun with food, games and live music. Noon to 3pm.
- Islamic Arts Family Experience at MFAH | Sunday, March 13 – Museum of Fine Arts, Houston and the Islamic Arts Society team up to showcase modern and traditional Islamic arts. The interactive event invites families to make their own art, watch artists’ demonstrations, and explore the Art of the Islamic Worlds galleries. Included with general admission; $19 for ages 19 and up; $16 for ages 65 and up; $12 for ages 13 to 18; free for ages 12 and under. 1pm to 4pm.
