- Family Storytime & Craft at Levy Park | Tuesday, January 31 | FREE – Family Storytime features a story followed by a craft that accompanies the reading at Levy Park. All craft supplies are included as a part of this free program. Free. 10am.
- Art Start at Pearl Fincher Museum of Fine Arts | Tuesday, January 31 | FREE – Bring your toddlers to Pearl Fincher Museum of Fine Arts for a story and art project. This event is for ages 5 and under. Free to register. 10:45am to 11:15am.
- Japan Junction at Levy Park | Tuesday, January 31 | FREE – Japan-America Society of Houston presents Japan Junction at Levy Park. Kids of all ages can enjoy expanding their cultural horizons through kamishibai “paper drama” storytelling and fun crafts that highlight Japanese traditions from origami to woodblock printmaking and more. Free. 4:30pm.
- Cirque Italia’s Water Circus at Houston Premium Outlets | Thursday, February 2 through Sunday, February 5 – Cirque Italia stages a human circus above, on, and within a stage comprised of a 35,000-gallon tank of water. Watch in awe as high-energy acts swing from ropes, flip over trapezes, and zip by on BMX bikes and roller skates, always pushing what the body is capable of doing. - The Gruffalo at the Grand 1894 Opera House | Friday, February 3 – Mouse embarks a daring adventure through the deep, dark wood in Tall Stories’ magical, musical adaptation of the classic picture book, The Gruffalo, by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler. $10; $6 for ages 12 and under. 10am.
- Champions of Magic at The Hobby Center | Starts Thursday, February 2 – The Champions of Magic cast present incredible interactive magic, including a daring escape from Houdini’s water torture cell, a mind-blowing prediction that has to be seen to be believed, levitation high above the stage and a finale beyond explanation. Tickets start at $39. Dates and times vary.
- Trail Mix: Music, Magic & More at M-K-T | Saturday, February 4 | FREE – M-K-T in the Heights presents Trail Mix, featuring AndyRoo, who leads kids of all ages on an adventure through the AndyRooniverse, along with magician David Rangel. There will also be unique hands-on pop-ups and giveaways at the trailside event, including free food from Mendocino Farms, Union Studio Yoga’s free craft table activity, and giveaways from Color Me Mine Houston. Free to attend. 10am to 11:30am.
- Armadillo Adventures at Houston Arboretum & Nature Center | Saturday, February 4 – Experience the story of Sandy, an armadillo whose passion for music sends him on a journey in hopes of achieving his dream of performing on stage with an interactive performance by the Houston Grand Opera. $8 per person. 10am to 11:30am.
- Centennial Saturday at Houston Zoo | Saturday, February 4 – The Houston Zoo celebrates its 100-year anniversary, with Centennial Saturdays where you can visit and experience a variety of fun during the first Saturday of every month. Free for members. Tickets start at $22.95 for nonmembers. 9am to 3pm.
- Harlem Globetrotters at NRG Arena | Saturday, February 4 – The Harlem Globetrotters 2023 World Tour brings amazing basketball skill, outrageous athleticism and a non–stop laugh out loud good time as the Globetrotters face off against their rivals the Washington Generals. Parking at NRG is $20 plus tax per parking space. Tickets range from $25 to $165. 2pm and 7pm.
