Zoo Lights at the Houston Zoo | Daily through Saturday, January 9 – See Zoo Lights before it closes for the season this weekend. $9.95 to $19.95. 6pm to 10pm.

- Meet the Animals: Furry, Frisky Mammals at Nature Discovery Center | Sunday, January 10 – There will be hands-on exposure to live animals, an informal discussion about the animal’s basic biology and behavior, and a question and answer period with one of the center’s naturalists. $5 per person. 10:30am.
