- 2023 ALDS: Houston Astros vs. Minnesota Twins at Minute Maid Park | Saturday, October 7 & Sunday, October 8 – Carlos Correa returns to Houston with his team from Minnesota in a battle for the ALDS title. The Astros will be seeking their 5th American League Division Series title since winning the division—and their first World Series title—in 2017. Tickets are sold out, but you may find hard-to-get tickets on the TicketNetwork resale marketplace. Saturday 3:45pm; Sunday 8pm.
- Fahm & Friends Market & Rockets Liftoff Party at Toyota Center | Sunday, October 8 | No Cover – Swing by for a Sunday morning market that celebrates Filipino American History Month, courtesy of Have a Nice Day. Enjoy food, craft vendors and Filipino culture before heading inside for a free open practice to check out the new Rockets squad. Houston legends Hakeem Olajuwon and Clyde Drexler will also be around to tipoff the new season. 10am to 2pm.
- International Cup at Houston Polo Club | Sunday, October 8 – Experience a world class polo match, player parade, live music, expert announcing, Champagne divot stomp at halftime and special trophy presentation. David Cordúa’s The Lymbar is the onsite concession serving delicious Argentine- and Brazilian-inspired menu choices with a premium bar menu. $18 and up. 4pm.
- Houston Dash vs. Angel City FC at Shell Energy Stadium | Sunday, October 8 – Spend Sunday evening in EaDo, cheering on the hometown Dash as they defend their turf against the soccer squad from Los Angeles. The match marks the final home game of the regular season for the Dash. $18 and up. 6pm.
