Opening Night: The Big Show 2025 at Lawndale Art Center | Friday, June 6 | FREE – Now in its 41st year, the Lawndale’s supersized annual exhibition showcases new works by artists practicing within a 100-mile radius of the art space. Mixers & Elixirs: ’90s Night at HMNS | Friday, June 6 – Get your 1990s fix(er) at the June edition of the popular late night with cocktails and dancing series inside the Houston Museum of Natural Science. Expect drinks and bites for sale, throwback tunes DJ P. Charm and DJ Griffin, a screening of Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion (1997), and more. $25; $20 members. 7pm to 11pm.

Galveston Island Revue Weekend on the Island | Friday, June 6 to Sunday, June 8 – Embark on the island’s modern take on the legendary weekend of old-fashioned fun, chock-full of vintage charm—including live music, classic cars, retro vendors, the world-famous Bathing Beauties Contest, special pop-up meals and parties, and more. Prices and times vary.

31st Anniversary Party at Saint Arnold Brewing Company | Saturday, June 7 | FREE – Saint Arnold celebrates another birthday with a throwback party with ’80s, ’90s, and 2000s decade-themed fun, DJs spinning from 2pm, followed by live cover bands into the night. Savor special anniversary brews and raise a glass to 3+ decades of Houston—and Texas—beer history. 11am to 11pm.

Texas Monthly‘s Taco Fest South at Discovery Green | Saturday, June 7  Texas’ signature magazine throws its first-ever taco extravaganza, slinging out tacos, tunes, and top-tier vibes. Juneteenth Culture Fest at Miller Outdoor Theatre | Friday, June 14 | FREE – The soul-stirring celebration of freedom, culture, and music blending gospel, blues, R&B, neo-soul and funk. Tokyo X Festival at NRG Center | Saturday, June 14 & Sunday, June 15  Tokyo X returns with it celebration of Japanese cuisine and culture. Comicpalooza 2025 at George R. Brown Convention Center | Friday, June 20 to Sunday, June 22 – Houston’s very on pop culture festival returns with 3 days of panels, appearances by actors from your favorite film and television, creators, vendor markets, costplay, gaming, kids activities, and more. Metrolympics 2025: Track Meet & Field Day Fun in EaDo | Saturday, June 21 | FREE for Spectators – Houston’s newest public field event debuts with 100- and 200-meter dashes, relay races, tug-of-war battles, an obstacle course, sack race, a water balloon toss, and more. $12.51 early bird registration for participants until Saturday, May 31, 2025, then $17.85. Champs Sports Run Club at Memorial Park | Saturday, June 28 | FREE with RSVP – Champ Sports is back in the HTX with big summer Run Club event at the park, inviting runners to unite, celebrate, and get bonus goodies. It starts with a scenic 5K run—also known as 3.1 miles—along Memorial Park’s beautiful trails, led by local Houston runners. Afterwards, stick around to cool down and enjoy live, high energy DJ sets, complimentary breakfast, drinks, light bites, and a chance to win amazing prizes, including a $100 Champs Sports shopping spree. 8am to 11am.

47th Annual Houston Pride Celebration & Parade in Downtown | Saturday, June 28 | FREE Parade – The all ages Downtown event features local and national talent, immersive entertainment, community resources, vendors, pride attire, plenty of people-watching, and more. Parade starts at dusk at the festival grounds and travels through Downtown roads, so anyone can enjoy. Parade free; Festival tickets $5+ in advance; $10+ day of. 11am to 10pm.

Classic Albums Live: Fleetwood Mac’s Rumours Concert at Miller Outdoor Theatre | Saturday, June 28 | FREE – Miller welcomes back the crowd-pleasing Classic Albums live, who’ll be performing Fleetwood Mac’s most beloved album live, beat for beat, from start to finish. 8:30pm.

Beyoncé in Concert: Cowboy Carter Tour at NRG Stadium | Saturday, June 28 & Sunday, June 29 – Queen Bey comes home to Houston, Texas, baby for 2 live shows at the biggest venue in the region. Expect a tribute to her hometown and state drawing from her hit Cowboy Carter album, beloved hits, and more. $265+, but you may find hard-to-get or better seats on the ticket resale marketplace. 7pm both nights.
