Mount Eerie in Concert at The Heights Theater | Wednesday, June 4 – The musical project of Washington-born folk songwriter and producer Phil Elverum, best known for “A Crow Looked at Me” and releasing his music on his own DIY record labels hits the Heights stage. Styx & Kevin Cronin in Concert at Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion | Friday, June 6 – The classic rock band Styx, that emerged out of Chicago in the ’70s, teams up with one-time REO Speedwagon frontman Cronin for a double-header under the pavilion. ETNL Summer Series: Swimwear Department in Concert at Meow Wolf: Radio Tave | Friday, June 6 – Houston’s own indie pop-quartet, who’ve made quite the reputation singing and rocking songs about swimming pools and mall culture, perform live at the city’s most out of this world venue. $42+ includes Meow Wolf admission. 8pm.

KPFT’s 55th Birthday Celebration with Rodney Crowell, Guy Forsyth & 78 Special at The Heights Theater | Friday, June 6 – Houston’s indie radio station, 90.1 FM, marks a diamond anniversary plus 5 with a live show with legendary singer-songwriter Crowell and beloved Austin artist Guy Forsyth on the intimate 19th Street stage. 64.50+. 8pm.

36th Annual Accordion Kings & Queens at Miller Outdoor Theatre | Saturday, June 7 | FREE – The summer tradition returns to celebrate the accordion—an instrument deeply woven into Texas’ diverse folk traditions, from polka and conjunto to zydeco and beyond. This year features Grammy-nominated zydeco powerhouse Sean Ardoin, Grammy-winning Denton dance band Brave Combo, and Rio Grande Valley Tex-Mex-style family cover band The Texas Sweethearts. 7pm.

Heart in Concert at Smart Financial Centre | Tuesday, June 17 – The classic ’70s rock band, originally out of Vancouver, brings their hard and acoustic rock, punk and symphonic sounds—think “Barracuda”, “Magic Man”, and “Crazy on You”—to the Sugar Land stage.  $72+. 8pm.

An Intimate Evening with Okkervil River & The Antlers at White Oak Music Hall | Thursday, June 19 – After touring together in 2024, members of Austin’s Okkervil River and Brooklyn’s The Antlers “band together”—also the name of their new shared album—for a joint tour playing their old songs, new songs, and each other’s song. $37.55. 7pm.

Underground Sounds: Sarah Grace Graves—Three Names at Buffalo Bayou Park Cistern | Thursday, June 19 to Sunday, June 22 – The summer edition of Buffalo Bayou Park’s cistern music series sees the composer and vocalist’s work. Adapted from her 2023 performance in Rome, it’s inspired by soprano Michiko Hirayama’s fascination with Gregorian chant and Graves’s personal connections to spirituality and experimental music. $25. ETNL Summer Series: Night Drive in Concert at Meow Wolf: Radio Tave | Friday, June 20 – Meow Wolf’s music series continues with a show by the Houston-Austin synth-pop duo seemingly designed for the installation’s upside down conceit—part post-punk melancholy, part dance-floor propulsion, where every song is an invite into their cinematic fever dream. $42+ includes Meow Wolf admission. 8pm.

Maxwell in Concert at Smart Financial Centre | Friday, June 20 – The multi-Grammy-winning, Billboard chart-topping R&B and soul artist Maxwell lands in Sugar Land, with Lucky Dave in tow, on The Serenade Tour 2025. $48+. 8pm.
