- Cheap Skate Night on The Ice at Discovery Green | Monday, February 1 – Take to The Ice for half the price for the very last time this season. The Ice will be thawed next week. $7 skating fee. 4pm to 10pm.
- Family Storybook Circle at Museum of Fine Arts Houston | Tuesday, February 2 – Join museum educators as they read a story in the galleries and lead families on a brief exploration of a large-scale photograph by New York-based artist Vera Lutte. Free with museum admission. 11am.
- To MyPlate and Beyond at the Health Museum | Tuesday, February 2 through Sunday, February 7 – Learn about the five food groups with your favorite kiddos in this new, engagingly interactive exhibit designed like a grocery store filled with games that teach about healthy eating, growing your own garden and more. 9; $7 for ages 3 to 11 and seniors 65; free for museum members. Hours vary.
- Mommy Mingle at the Children’s Museum | Wednesday, February 3 – Take the tots, under 3 years old, and mingle at the Tot Spot! Breakfast and coffee is provided. Included with museum admission. 10am to 11am.
- 2016 Lunar New Year Festival at CCC | Saturday, February 6 | FREE – Welcome the Year of the Monkey at this daylong celebration with great food, music, dancing entertainment and more. 10am to 4pm.

- Mardi Gras at Historic Market Square & Market on Main | Saturday, February 6 | FREE – Enjoy the lively tunes of the Bayou City Brass Band in Market Square Park, then nosh and nibble at the food trucks parked along the Market on Main. 7pm.
- Bridge to Terabithia at The MATCH | Sunday, February 7 – Main Street Theater brings the children’s fantasy novel to life on stage. Recommended for fifth grade and older. Starting at $16. 4pm.
