  • Morning Shows at Miller Outdoor Theatre | Monday, October 18 to Wednesday, October 20 | FREE  Miller Outdoor presents three straight mornings of performances, featuring Panto Company USA delivering the classic tale of Cinderella on Monday and Tuesday, while Wednesday will see Rhyme & Reason, a music, dance and performance poetry piece from Express Children’s Theatre that presents Black history from ancient Africa to today. 11am each morning.
  • Creepy Concoctions at Fort Bend Children’s Discovery Center | Tuesday, October 19 to Saturday, October 23  Strap on your goggles and grab your lab coats for some ooey, gooey and utterly creepy concoctions that kids create to explore potions, bottle designs, a DIY bat wing project, slime making and more. Included in general admission; $12 for ages 1 and up, free for ages under 1. 10am to 6pm daily.
  • Haunted Houstonopoly in Rice Village | Thursday, October 21 to Sunday, October 24  Take a tour of the Houston-themed Monopoly board that’s decked out in Halloween goodies. Play a game with the family, collect candy at spots around the board, and get a special gift for winning the best costume of the hour. Timed entry slots last approximately an hour. Tickets start at $35. Times vary, but kid-friendly sessions take place before 6:45pm on Thursday; 5:15pm Friday to Sunday.
  • The Big Bounce America at Aveva Stadium | Friday, October 22 to Sunday, October 24  The world’s largest touring inflatable event comes to South Houston, offering an action-packed day out that’s suitable for all ages. From a toddler-friendly house and a giant obstacle course to a competitive sports arena and more, the Big Bounce features a hopping good time on a ticket good for three hours of bouncing entertainment. Tickets start at $16. Sessions must be booked in advance and by age group. Times vary.
  • 39th Annual Galveston Oktoberfest at First Lutheran Church of Galveston | Friday, October 22 to Sunday, October 24 | FREE  With the return of the Oktoberfest tradition to Galveston, this family-friendly event offers up beer and wine tastings for the adults, plus live music, dancing, children’s rides, arts and crafts, games, and tasty German food and drink. Times vary.
  • ArBOOretum at Houston Arboretum & Nature Center | Saturday, October 23  The Houston Arboretum and Nature Center hosts its biggest family event of the year, featuring fall activities for all ages, including live animals, pumpkin decorating, train rides, a pumpkin patch, Halloween markets, and Houston’s only trick-or-treat nature trail. Comfortable walking shoes and costumes are encouraged. Tickets are $15 in advance for ages 3 and up, $20 at the door. 10am to 4pm.
  • 14th Annual KBR Kids Day at Tony Marron Park | Saturday, October 23 | FREE  Buffalo Bayou Partnership’s annual free event returns for 2021 at a brand new location, Tony Marron Park in the East End. Activity stations will include numerous hands-on activities from over 20 Houston partners, local entertainment, and performances on the H-E-B stage, Dia de los Muertos face painters, balloon artists, a rock climbing wall, a birds of prey show, Halloween costume parade and more. Costumes are encouraged. Food and drinks will be available for purchase. 11am to 3pm.
  • Fright Night at Houston Art Center | Saturday, October 23  This family-friendly community festival in Park Place sends visitors through its haunted house, plus you can enjoy an interactive art zone, games, a vendor market, or dive into the pumpkin patch. Tickets are $15; $10 for ages 13 to 17; free for ages 12 and under. 4pm to 9pm.
  • Monster Jam at NRG Stadium | Saturday, October 23  Watch as 12,000-pound monster trucks hit soaring heights in a rip-roaring display of motorsport mania. Tickets range from $20 to more than $115, but you may find better or cheaper seats using the TicketNetwork online marketplace. 7pm.
  • Halloween Spooktacular at Sea Center Texas in Lake Jackson | Sunday, October 24 | FREE  Dress up in your costume and head to Sea Center Texas for a spooktacular Halloween event. Kids can learn about wildlife, do make-and-take crafts, play games, collect candy, and enter the costume contest. 1pm to 3pm.
