It’s another packed weekend with fun and things to do across the greater Houston metro, from culture to-do’s like the Houston GreekFest at St. Basil to an epic marathon of Parks and Recreation at Discovery Green, there’s something to keep everyone busy.

Things to Do All Weekend
- Houston Greekfest at St Basil Greek Orthodox Church | Daily – Get your Greek on with dancing, food and fun at the 20th Annual Houston Greekfest. You’ll get a taste of Greek heritage and cuisine during this four-day festival. Don’t miss the Niko Niko’s World Gyro Eating Championship on Sunday. Free entry on Thursday; $3 Friday to Sunday; free for children 10 and under. 4pm to 9pm Thursday; 11am to 10pm Friday and Saturday; 11am to 6pm Sunday.
- Houston Astros vs. Toronto Blue Jays Series at Minute Maid Park | Daily – Cheer loudly for the Houston Astros as they take on the Blue Jays at home. Tickets start at $10, but you may find cheaper or better seats on the TicketNetwork or Ticket Monster resale sites. 7:10pm Thursday and Friday; 6:10pm Saturday; 1:10pm Sunday.
- The Music Man at Hobby Center | Daily – TUTS brings the delightful and hilarious family musical to Downtown Houston. It features a parade of classic Broadway tunes, including “Seventy-Six Trombones,” “Ya Got Trouble,” “Till There Was You,” “Goodnight, My Someone” and more. Times and prices vary, but limited discounted tickets are available.
- Comedian Jon Stringer at the Joke Joint Comedy Showcase | Thursday to Saturday – Winner of multiple comedy competitions across Texas, plus a first place finalist at the World Series of Comedy in Las Vegas, Stringer brings his twisted and improv-enabled comedy to H-Town. $16; limited comped and discounted $8 tickets available. Times vary.
- Benshi Show at Orange Show Monument | Friday and Saturday – Bootown presents back-to-back nights of Benshi shows – a theatrical silent film experience that started in Japan – at the Orange Show Monument. $15. 8pm both nights.
- Houston Palestine Film Festival at Rice University Cinema | Friday and Saturday – View films The Wanted 18, Transit Game, Girrafada, Climb of Hope and Voice of a Condor during the second weekend of the Houston Palestine Film Festival. 7:30pm Friday; 5:30pm Saturday.
- Strawberry Festival in Pasadena | Friday to Sunday – Take a bite (or an entire sheet cake) out of the World’s largest strawberry shortcake, watch teams compete in mud volleyball and a BBQ cook off, and let the kids play in the adventure zone. Music from the likes of Wade Bowen, Granger Smith, Turnkpike Trobadours and more will be performed on the Arena Stage. $15; $5 for children 5 to 12 and seniors; free for children 4 and under. 3pm to midnight Friday; 10am to midnight Saturday; 10am to 6pm Sunday.
- Giselle at Miller Outdoor Theatre | Friday to Sunday | FREE – Get swept off your feet during the Houston Ballet’s production of Giselle at Miller Outdoor Theatre. 8pm nightly.
- Sugar Land Skeeters vs York Revolution Series at Constellation Field | Friday to Monday – See the Skeeters fend off their rivals from Pennsylvania. $8 to $13; Limited discounted $6.50 tickets available. 7:05pm
- AsiaFest at Asia Society Texas Center | Saturday and Sunday | FREE to Attend – In celebration of Asian Pacific American Heritage Month, Asia Society is hosting a two-day festival highlighting Asian and Pacific food, performances, vendors and art. 11am to 4pm both days.
- Activities inside the Loop from BigKidSmallCity | Daily – Find events, recommendations and family-friendly activities from our favorite Houston mom-in-the-know Jill Jarvis of BigKidSmallCity.
- Houston Astros Tickets on Sale | Sponsored – Save on Astros home games with cheaper or better seats on TicketNetwork’s resale market.

- Bike to Work Day in the Energy Corridor | FREE – If you live and work in the Energy Corridor, you’re encouraged to leave the car at home and bike to work. Meet at the Terry Hershey Park Gazebo for giveaways and a light breakfast. 6:30am to 7:30am.
- Vaccinations at Children’s Museum of Houston | FREE – Get your child’s vaccinations for free from the Texas Children’s Mobile Clinic when they park at the Children’s Museum of Houston. Stick around afterwards for free family night Thursday at the museum. Vaccinations available for children aged 6 months to 18 years; must have immunization records handy. 5pm to 7pm.
- Blanket Bingo at Market Square Park – Lounge out on lawn chairs or blankets while enjoying a historic night out filled with music, fun and bingo. Admission includes a packet of bingo cards, which are good for about ten games. $10. 6pm to 9pm.
- Shinyribs in Concert at Discovery Green | FREE – Hear a soulful concert from Shinyribs at Discovery Green. This event is part of the Sounds Like Houston! Thursday concert series at Discovery Green. 6:30pm to 9:30pm.
- Dina Gachman Book Signing at Brazos Bookstore – Hear tips about living large on a budget from Brokenomics author Dina Gachman during this author appearance and book signing at Brazos Bookstore. $16 for a paperback copy of the book. 7pm.
- Hooters 2015 Texas Swimsuit Pageant at Bayou Music Center – Watch Hooters girls compete for the crown during the Texas Divisional Swimsuit Pageant at Bayou Music Center. $34 with fees. 7pm.
- Pachanga Latino Music Fest at Warehouse Live – Get into the groove during the Pachanga Latino Music Festival featuring headliners Kinky, Compass: M.I.S. + Toy Selectah and Ceci Bastida. $20. 8pm.

- Bee Film Screening at Aurora Picture Show – Experience the buzz surrounding the world premiere of Bee Film – filmmaker Cathy Lee Crane’s latest which explores the lives of bees in Hawaii and what their caretakers are doing to preserve the species. $10; free for members. 7:30pm.
- The Gum Ball at Hyde Park Gallery – Get a sugar high at this Willy Wonka themed gala where music, dancing and a fine art auction await. $100. 8pm.
