- Christmas in July 5K in Downtown Houston – Bring the whole family out to celebrate Christmas in July by running (or walking) in this festive 5k through Downtown. Proceeds benefit The Salvation Army. Registration starts at $15. 7am.
- Dog Days of Summer at the Children’s Museum of Houston – Bring the kiddos to the Children’s Museum for a doggone good time of hearing about vet medicine, learning the responsibilities of owning a pet, and watching k-9s catch frisbees. Entrance is included with museum admission. 10am to 6pm.
- Christmas in July Market in Baytown | FREE to Attend – Baytown will host a Christmas in July themed market and craft show at the community center complete with BBQ, door prizes, an area for the kiddos, and tons of vendors to shop ’til you drop. 10am to 4pm.
- The Market at Sawyer Yards | FREE to Attend – Shop a curated selection of folk art, specialty foods, and artisan crafts during this market hosted by The Washington Avenue Arts District. 11am to 5pm.
- Camp Hope Fundraiser at Southern Star Brewing Company – Join Southern Star brewery in raising funds for Camp Hope as you enjoy brews and food from Redneck Country Club in Conroe, TX. Tickets are $30, not including ticket fees. Noon to 6pm.
- 2nd Saturday Nites: Saint Arnold Pub Crawl in Downtown | FREE to Attend – Make your way to participating bars in Houston’s historic district before heading to Market Square Park for your pub crawl pint glass and then enjoying a free concert and Market on Main. 2pm to 2am.
- Groovy Baby! Music Festival at The White Swan – Get down and groovy baby at this Austin Powers themed music festival at the White Swan. Come dressed up to play beer pong, walk the red carpet, get your hair styled, shop various vendors and listen to live music from a lineup of DJs and bands. Tickets are $5 at the door. 4pm to 11pm.
- Jim Gaffigan Live at The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion – Laugh along to hilarious stand-up from comedian Jim Gaffigan when his Fully Dressed Tour rolls through The Woodlands. Tickets start at $25, but you may find cheaper or better seats on TicketNetwork’s resale site. 7pm.
- Asian American Film Showcase in The Heights – Catch a screening of the films Sounds We Have No Letters For and It Runs in the Family followed by a Q&A with director Joella Cabalu via Skype at 800 Aurora Street. Tickets are $10, not including ticket fees. 7pm.
- Market on Main in Downtown | FREE to Attend – Explore shops, vendors, and food trucks in Houston’s historic Downtown during this market on Main Street. 7pm.
- The Lorax Movie Screening in The Woodlands | FREE – Bring the whole family to The Woodlands’ Creekside Park for a free screening of The Lorax. 8pm to 10pm.
- Houston Arboretum Presents Eye Shine & Ice Cream – Join the Houston Arboretum for an ice cream social and a fun lesson about how animals see at night, then come on a walk in the woods to look for eye shine. Tickets are $30 for members, $45 for non-members, and $15 for children. 8pm to 10pm.
- Back to the Future: Unscripted Improv Show at Queensbury Theatre – See a new take on the 1985 time travel classic Back to the Future when ComedySportz Houston combines their hilarious improv with audience suggestions. $14; limited discounted $7 tickets available. 10:30pm.

- History Bike Tour in Downtown Houston – Explore Houston’s downtown neighborhoods and bayous on two wheels as you hear about the city’s history during this bike tour. Tickets are $40, not including ticket fees. 9am.
- Galveston’s Own Farmers Market | FREE to Attend – Pick up a few farm fresh ingredients from the farmers market in Galveston. 9am to 1pm.
- Yoga & Hops at Karbach Brewery – Relax with an hour of yoga and then enjoy ice cold Karbach beer during this event at the brewery. Tickets are $20. 11am to 2pm.
- Sunday Blues Brunch at Danton’s – Enjoy a dose of live music from local blues bands as you enjoy a brunch menu of seafood dishes at Danton’s Gulf Coast Seafood Kitchen. Menu prices vary. 11am to 3pm.
- Pup Squad Animal Rescue Presents Pints 4 Pups Benefit – Have a beer at Saint Arnolds Brewery for a good cause. Enjoy beverages, pizza, sweets, games for the kids, and take home a commemorative pint glass to benefit the Pup Squad Animal Rescue. Tickets are $35 in advance and $40 at the door for ages 21 and up; $10 in advance and $15 at the door for ages 12 to 20; Free to attend for children ages 11 and younger. 2pm to 4pm.
- Top Gun Watch Party at Alamo Drafthouse Mason Park – Feel the need for speed at the Alamo Drafthouse watch party for the 1986 film Top Gun. Tickets are $9, not including ticket fees. 6pm.
