- A Chorus Line at Hobby Center for the Performing Arts | Daily – Discover the one, singular sensation that is A Chorus Line, presented by Theatre Under the Stars at Hobby Center for the Performing Arts. The Tony Award-winning musical follows the story of 17 dancers as they audition for the opportunity of a lifetime. - Discover Space with Snoopy at McDonald’s | Daily – McDonald’s is bringing America’s favorite beagle, Snoopy, to Happy Meals across the country. ‘Discover Space with Snoopy’ themed Happy Meals feature science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) focused toys created by McDonald’s and Peanuts Worldwide. Guests can visit any participating McDonald’s location in the Greater Houston area and try to collect all four while supplies last. All day.
- Houston Ballet presents Giselle at Wortham Theater Centre | Friday to Sunday – Experience the 19th-century romanticism of Giselle when the Houston Ballet performs Stanton Welch’s mesmerizing choreography set to music by Adolphe Adam at the Wortham Theater Center in Downtown. - The Greatest Love of All: A Tribute to Whitney Houston at Miller Outdoor Theatre | Friday and Saturday | FREE – Sit back and enjoy a two-hour production of Whitney Houston’s greatest hits as Belinda Davis performs a spot-on tribute show at Miller Outdoor Theatre. Expect to hear a slew of iconic songs, such as “I Will Always Love You,” “I Wanna Dance With Somebody,” and “How Will I Know.” 7:30pm both nights.
- Trae Crowder at Houston Improv | Friday and Saturday – Check out a comedy show by Trae Crowder, a Tennessee native known for co-authoring The Liberal Redneck Manifesto and co-hosting the weekly wellRED Podcast. Tickets range from $25 to $50. Showtimes vary.
- The Ultimate Women’s Expo at George R. Brown Convention Center | Saturday and Sunday – Hear from inspiring speakers, explore your personal style, connect with other women, and foster your self-love at the Ultimate Women’s Expo in George R. Brown Convention Center. Guest speakers include Melissa Gilbert, Mario Lopez, Leeanne Locken, Keke Palmer and more. Tickets are $10. Times vary.

- Wine, Women & Shoes at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel & Conference Center – Network with philanthropic women as you enjoy wine and culinary tastings, shop designer pop-ups, partake in a live auction, watch a fashion show, and support a worthy cause at the annual Woodlands event, Wine, Women & Shoes. - In This Moment in Concert at House of Blues – The LA-based alternative metal band, In This Moment, performs live at House of Blues in Downtown. New Years Day, Hellsapoppin, and DED open the show. Tickets start at $35. 5:30pm.

- Phantogram in Concert at White Oak Music Hall – Check out a live show by Phantogram, a New York-based duo known for hypnotic beats they’ve defined as electronic rock, dream pop, electronica, and trip-hop. - Kevin Farley at The Secret Group – Catch comic Kevin Farley in a live stand-up show at The Secret Group. The brother of the late Chris Farley, Kevin stars in the hit Netflix series, F is for Family, and appears in guest roles on both the small screen and the silver screen, as well as on radio programs and podcasts. Tickets are $15 in advance; $20 day of the show. 8pm.
- The EaDo Comedy Show at CSz Arena – For this improv show, ComedySportz Houston will draw from the vibe of the East Downtown neighborhood and call on audience members to participate. $10; limited comped and discounted $5 tickets available. 8pm.

- Death by Natural Causes at Houston Museum of Natural Science – Discover a range of deadly “animal, vegetable, and mineral” specimens from the natural world at this educational exhibit in the Houston Museum of Natural Science. Full price tickets are $30 for ages 12 and up; $20 for ages 3 to 11; $20 for ages 62 and up, but discounted $19 tickets are available for most dates. 9am to 5pm.
- Friday Fun Dance Day at Evelyn’s Park | FREE – Slip on your dancing shoes and head to Evelyn’s Park to learn a selection of modern line dances set to a variety of musical genres. 10:30am to 11:30am.
- Nickelodeon’s JoJo Siwa D.R.E.A.M. The Tour at Smart Financial Centre – Treat the kids to a live show featuring the YouTube sensation and Nickelodeon star, Joelle Joanie “JoJo” Siwa, at Smart Financial Centre. You can expect all the colorful music, dance, and kid-friendly fun for which she’s known and loved. - Joe Russo’s Almost Dead in Concert at House of Blues – Joe Russo’s Almost Dead, a rock band who plays mostly the music of the Grateful Dead, perform lives at House of Blues in Downtown. Tickets are $39.50. 7pm.
- México en el Corazón at Discovery Green | FREE – Explore the world of Mariachi music, folkloric ballet and other aspects of Mexican heritage when NAIMA presents México en el Corazón, which includes a performance of “El Grito de la Independencia” by Deputy Consul Adolfo Garcia. 7pm to 9pm.
- Sugar Land Tribute: Michael Jackson Cover at Sugar Land Town Square | FREE – Take in the iconic music, moon-walking, and shoulder-padded costumes of Michael Jackson when impersonator Danny Dash Andrews performs a tribute concert in Sugar Land Town Square. 7:30pm to 9:30pm.
- Houston Dash vs. Utah Royals FC at BBVA Compass Stadium – Cheer on the Dash as they play the Royals in a home game at BBVA Compass Stadium. Tickets start at $15. 7:30pm.
- Rhea Butcher at The Secret Group – Crack up at the blue collar humor of Rhea Butcher, who’s been featured in HBO’s 2 Dope Queens, The Meltdown with Jonah and Kumail, when he performs live at The Secret Group. Tickets are $20 in advance; $25 day of the show. 8pm.
- Kiki Maroon’s BurlyQ Lounge at House of Blues – Watch a performance of Kiki Maroon’s BurlyQ Lounge show, Houston’s burlesque “varie-tease” that includes standup comedy, live music, and showgirls at House of Blues in Downtown. Tickets range from $15 to $35. 8pm.
- Advocare Texas Kickoff Classic: Houston Cougars vs. Washington State Cougars at NRG Stadium – Jump right into football season with the annual Advocare Texas Kickoff. This year’s game pits our very own Houston Cougars against the Washington State Cougars at NRG Park. Tickets start at $19, but you can click here to check for discounted tickets. 8:15pm.
- Flying Lotus at Warehouse Live – Groove to a concert of experimental hip-hop when Flying Lotus takes the stage at Warehouse Live in support of his sixth studio album, Flamagra.
