- The Original Greek Festival at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral | Daily – Say “opa!” at the 51st annual Original Greek Festival that brings together authentic Greek music, dancing, dessert, wine, and food in a four-day, family-friendly festival. $5. Hours vary by day.
- Gorky’s Enemies at Main Street Theater in Rice Village | Daily – Catch Maxim Gorky’s smart play about pre-revolutionary Russia and a society on the brink of collapse. Tickets start at $10. 7:30pm.
- Fashion X Houston at River Oaks District | Thursday to Saturday – See collections from your favorite River Oaks District brands, Houston designers, and designers featured on Project Runway at this three-day fashion event featuring runway shows, in-store, and VIP events. Tickets start at $325. In-store events begin at 5pm; runway show starts at 8pm nightly.
- 38th Annual Festival Chicano at Miller Outdoor Theatre | Thursday to Saturday | FREE – Head on over to Miller Outdoor Theatre for the 38th Annual Festival Chicano, celebrating Chicano music with three evenings of performances. 7pm nightly.
- An Evening at The Talk House at The MATCH | Thursday to Saturday – Catch Catastrophic Theatre’s season opener An Evening at The Talk House, a dark but hilarious play about a group of creatives who launched a play that had raving reviews, but didn’t make any money, at The MATCH. $35 suggested donation. Showtimes vary.
- Karbachtoberfest at Karbach Brewing Co. | Friday and Saturday – Head to Karbach Brewery for German food, live music, and beer in honor of Oktoberfest. Starts at noon both days.
- Frightening Forest Tours at Aunique Gypsy Horse Ranch | Friday and Saturday – Bring the kiddos out to the Aunique Gypsy Horse Ranch for a ride on the magical wizard wagon or conjuring caravan through the forest to catch a glimpse of witches, ghosts, and skeletons. There’s plenty to do after the tour, including pumpkin putt putt, the monstrous maze, and evil eye bounce. Tickets start at $15. 6pm both nights.
- Oktoberfest at Saint Arnold Brewery | Friday and Saturday – Put on your dirndl or lederhosen and get to Saint Arnold for their Oktoberfest celebration loaded with German food and your choice of Saint Arnold brews. There will be a prize for the best dressed. 5pm to 10pm both days.
- King’s Oktoberfest Weekend at King’s Biergarten | Friday to Sunday – Get in on the Oktoberfest fun at King’s annual celebration at their Pearland location with tons of German music, beer, food, competitions, giveaways and more. Tickets start at $12. Friday 5pm to midnight; Saturday noon to midnight; Sunday noon to 9pm.
- Four Stages at The MATCH | Friday to Sunday – Experience Four Stages, a collaborative performance created by artist and musician Wolf William Say and artist and dancer Dola Baroni, at The MATCH in Midtown. Tickets are $20 and $15 for students. 8pm each night.
- Community Night Out Weekend in Missouri City | Saturday and Sunday | No Cover – Join your neighbors at the City Hall Complex in Missouri City for two evenings of live music from acts like Coffey Anderson and Grammy Award winner Wayne Toups, face painting, bounce houses for the kids, a laser show, food trucks and more. Hours vary by day.
- Pearland Arts & Crafts on the Pavilion at Pearland Town Center | Saturday and Sunday – Peruse works featured in this juried art show in Pearland and while you’re there, grab a bite from the food truck court, visit the wine bistro, or get creative at a pop-up paint studio. 10am to 5pm both days.

Mortgage companies, HUD-approved nonprofit housing counselors, insurance companies, and other local partners have joined together to form Mortgage Assistance Centers in Houston to help lead families down the road of recovery. 11am to 8pm.
- Happy Hour Thursdays at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston | No Cover – Tip back exhibition-inspired cocktails, nosh on food truck bites, and check out the MFAH’s latest displays. Museum admission is always free on Thursdays. 5pm to 9pm.
