  • The Woodlands Restaurant Week | Daily Eat out for a good cause at participating restaurants in The Woodlands where a portion of your menu purchase will benefit the Montgomery County Food Bank. Times and prices vary by location.
  • Alley Theatre presents Remote Houston | Thursday and Friday – Join a group of fifty people swarming out into the city on a guided audio tour that seems to follow you, as much you are following it. Tickets are $39. 4pm both days.
  • Alley Theatre presents A Midsummer Night’s Dream | Thursday through Saturday – In the Bard’s most popular and enchanting comedy, the woods outside Athens are a busy place as four young lovers and a troupe of actors find themselves in the middle of a dispute between the King and Queen of the fairies. Tickets range from $10 to $88. Thursday at 7:30pm; Friday and Saturday at 8pm.
  • Chantal Warehouse Sale – | Friday through Sunday | FREE to Attend – Get your holiday shopping done with up to 75% off on discontinued, overstocked, and one-of-a-kind cookware at the Chantal Warehouse Sale. Friday and Saturday 9am to 6pm; Sunday noon to 5pm.
  • DASH Fall Market at Silver Street Studios | Friday to Sunday – Whether you’re a professional interior designer or you’re just looking to refresh your home, you’ll find unique finds for your home at DASH. $10. 10am to 5pm daily.
  • How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying at The Hobby Center | Friday to Sunday – Don’t miss a performance of the smash musical How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying when the show rolls through The Hobby Center. Tickets start at $38.50, but limited discounted $28.30 tickets available. Friday 8pm; Saturday 2pm and 8pm; Sunday 2pm and 7:30pm.
  • Local Stand-Ups and Touring Comics at Joke Joint Comedy Showcase | Friday and Saturday – Laugh all night at the hilarious comedians that will show off their talent at Joke Joint Comedy Showcase at this two-night event. $16; limited discounted $8 tickets available. Friday 8pm; Saturday 10:30.
  • Celebration Seabrook | Saturday and Sunday – Enjoy this family-friendly event in this historic town on the water with live music, fun kid activities, local fare, gourmet food trucks, beer and wine, art exhibits, pet fun, and more. Be sure to snap a photo with the colorful pelicans on the Pelican Path as well. Tickets are $15 per person. Family group rates include 6 tickets at $13.50 each. Saturday 11am to 8pm; Sunday noon to 5pm.
  • Houston Turkish Festival at Jones Plaza | Saturday and Sunday Celebrate Turkish culture with performances, live music, Turkish cuisine, kids activities and more at the Jones Plaza in Downtown. $6. Saturday 11am to 10pm; Sunday 11am to 9pm.
  • August: Osage County at Purple Box Theater | Saturday and Sunday This outstanding musical won a Pulitzer Prize and a Tony Award. Don’t miss this production at Purple Box Theater. $15; limited discounted $7.50 tickets available. Saturday 8pm; Sunday 3pm.
  • National Museum of Funeral History’s Veterans Appreciation Week | Saturday and Sunday Check out the Vietnam Memorial photography exhibit and the military funeral traditions exhibit at NMFH. Admission is free to all veterans. $10; free for veterans. Saturday 10am to 5pm; Sunday noon to 5pm.

  • The Cheese Fest at Hermann Square ParkNom on cheese from artisanal vendors at the first ever Cheese Fest. Tickets start at $35, not including ticket fees. 5pm to 10pm.
  • Sia in Concert at the Toyota CenterWatch 5-time Grammy award-winning artist Sia as she makes her way to play hits like “Chandelier” and “Cheap Thrills” at the Toyota Center. Tickets start at $35, but you may find cheaper or better seats on TicketNetwork’s resale site. 7pm.
  • Holiday Craft Workshop at Rest & RecLearn how to make your own layered mason jar dessert mixes, just in time for the holidays, at this DIY craft workshop hosted by Pop Shop Houston. $32. 7pm.
  • Feast with the Beasts at the Houston ZooMore than 60 restaurants will participate in this wildly popular annual fundraiser for the Houston Zoo. Thousands of guests will enjoy live music from Gin Blossoms, bites, drinks, and the backdrop of the zoo. Tickets start at $119, not including ticket fees. 7pm to 11pm.
  • The Good Dinosaur Screening at Discovery Green | FREE – Bring the kiddos Downtown to watch The Good Dinosaur under the stars at Discovery Green. 7:30pm.
  • Lindsey Stirling in Concert at Revention Music CenterViolinist, dancer, and composer Lindsey Stirling will dance her way onto the stage at Revention Music Center, bringing her unique electronic violin beats to Houston on her Brave Enough Tour. First run tickets are sold out, but a limited number of tickets may be available on TicketNetwork’s resale site. 8pm.
  • Mixed Media at MFAH Dance the night away with Degas + DJs as this très French-themed MFAH Mixed Media highlights exhibit Degas: A New Vision. Tickets are $22 for members and $25 for non-members. 8pm.
  • Toni Braxton in Concert at Arena TheatreAward-winning R&B artist Toni Braxton is heading to Arena Theatre for a Friday night show. Tickets start at $49.50, not including ticket fees. 8pm.
