• Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo 2024 at NRG Park | Daily – Houston’s biggest bash rolls on, bringing with it a celebration of Western heritage. • 4th Wall Theatre Company presents The Thanksgiving Play at Spring Street Studios | Daily – What happens when a group of well-meaning adults try to produce an elementary school Thanksgiving program that is historically accurate and culturally sensitive? • Broadway Across America presents Beetlejuice at Hobby Center | Daily – Based on Tim Burton’s kooky film, this musical is the story of Lydia Deetz, a strange and unusual teenager whose whole life changes when she meets a recently deceased couple and a demon. Variety called it “screamingly good fun.” $40 and up. Showtimes vary.
• Drunk Shakespeare at the Emerald Theater | Daily | Save Up to 41% on Tickets– Five professional actors perform one of the Bard’s classic tragedies in a hidden library with a catch—one of the actors takes five shots of whiskey before the show. Mayhem and hilarity ensues as the sober remaining cast try to keep the play from running off the rails completely. Full price tickets start at $49, but limited discounted tickets starting at $29 are available for most shows. Showtimes vary.
• Washed Ashore: Art to Save the Sea at Galveston Island | Daily | Ongoing | FREE– Across the Island, you’ll find larger-than-life creatures of the sea, land and sky that consist of plastic debris washed upon American beaches. Five sculptures can be found in popular areas of Galveston, and they’ll be on view through Sunday, March 31, 2024.
• DiverseWorks presents Hello, My Name Is ______ at MATCH | Thursday to Saturday | FREE – This multi-channel video and sound installation on exhibition at MATCH explores employment and labor practices in the United States. It’s designed to create a platform for dialogue around how different forms of labor are valued, or undervalued, including the work of artists. Times vary.
• Performing Arts Houston presents Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater at Jones Hall | Thursday to Saturday – The legendary dance troupe returns to Houston for a performance of electrifying choreography, including one of the company’s signature pieces, Revelations. See for yourself why this iconic ensemble is at the pinnacle of American dance. $29 and up. Showtimes vary.

• Camel & Ostrich Racing at Sam Houston Race Park | Friday & Saturday – Take in Houston’s Best Bet, with an exhibition of camel and ostrich racing mixed in with thoroughbred horse racing. $5. 6:30pm Friday; 11am Saturday.
• Comedian Katie Hannigan at the Riot Comedy Club | Friday & Saturday – A stand-up comic, actor and writer, Hannigan has been featured on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Comedy Central, Just For Laughs, and more. • 87th Azalea Trail in River Oaks | Friday to Sunday – Hosted by the River Oaks Garden Club, this annual multi-stop tour invites the public to explore seven gardens across the River Oaks area—including four private home gardens. $30; complimentary round-trip shuttle will offer travel to all locations. 11am to 5pm.
• Jurassic World: The Exhibition at Katy Mills | Opens Friday – The limited engagement exhibit, based on one of the biggest blockbusters in cinema history, allows guests to walk through the iconic Jurassic World gate and come face-to-face with life-sized dinosaurs, such as the towering Brachiosaurus, Velociraptors, and the fearsome Tyrannosaurus Rex. $24 and up. • Comedian René Vaca at Houston Improv | Friday to Sunday – The comedian and recent winner of the 16th annual StandUp NBC competition comes to Houston for a weekend of shows at the Improv. The San Fernando Valley native has built a following with his stand-up comedy clips, reaching millions of views across his social media channels. $70 for 2, and up. Times vary.

• Comedian Uncle Lazer at Houston Improv – The Texas native and comedian talks everything from terrible dating experiences to unapologetic feel-good stories of coming up in the South, in an act that’s laced with over-the-top energy that taps into his blue collar upbringing. $50 for two. 7:30pm.
• Pink Floyd Tribute Rooftop Concert at Post Houston – Experience a tribute to the legendary British psychedelic group, Pink Floyd, at Post Houston’s Skylawn with a performance from Pigs on the Wall. They’ll sing the band’s biggest hits and deep tracks, in an evening concert under the stars. $20 and up. 8pm.
• Rodeo Houston: Luke Bryan in Concert at NRG Stadium – This inaugural Volunteer Appreciation Day at the Rodeo spotlights the tens of thousands of volunteers that make the Rodeo run every year. Country star Luke Bryan, with hits like “Country Girl” and “Buy Dirt,” makes his 11th appearance on the famous rotating stage. $25 and up. 9pm.
• Elli Acula DJ Set at Bauhaus Houston – The German self-described rebel, dreamer and night owl brings her groovy, powerful sounds of techno, rave, breakbeat, electro and jungle to Houston. $15 and up. 10pm.
