  • Summer Market at Silver Street Studios– Browse a modern arts and fashion market in the A/C $5; kids are free. Listen to live music and nosh at food trucks while you check out jewelry, fashion, food, beauty and vintage goods. 9am to 2pm.
  • Kingwood Free Kid Fest at Kingwood Town Center Park | FREE – Kids and families can enjoy rolling in giant hamster balls on water, games, rides, activities, live music, crafts, pony rides, bounce houses, bungee jumps, waterslides, rock wall climbing, obstacle courses and more at this free family event. Rescheduled from June. 10am to 7pm.
  • Houston ReMarket at the Station Museum for Contemporary Arts | FREE to attend– Houston’s quarterly market focused on sustainable living, re-use and adapted works returns. Enjoy live music, food truck barbecue and more. 11am to 4pm.
  • H-Town Classic Charity Basketball Tournament – Eight teams of eight will hoop it up to raise money for the Houston Children’s Charity, with music by The Waxaholics DJs. Noon to 6pm.
  • Dog Days of Summer at Little J’s Saloon – Bring your pups and pooches to Little J’s on Washington Avenue. Heather’s Mobile Pet Salon will be there to do some grooming and get your four-legged friend ready to mingle. Karbach will also be on hand with some special brews. 2pm to 8pm.
  • Brooklyn Brewery Seafood Boil at D&T Drive Inn – Enjoy a fresh crab and shrimp boil paired with select Brooklyn Brewery beers at this special summer dinner at D&T Drive Inn cooked up the by chefs or Treadsack on Saturday. Starting at 4pm.
  • Austin Mahone in Concert at NRG Arena – Teen pop sensation comes to H-Town. The Vamps, Fifth Harmony and Shawn Mendes open. You may find cheaper or better seats on TicketNetwork’s resale market. 7pm.
  • Folklore Films Festival – Take in a series of visual poems telling the stories of Houston’s makers at this screening of season one of the mini musical documentaries about the folk in H-Town. Click here to view a trailer. Live music performances from Michele Thibeaux, Denis Cisneros and Jason Mitchell. 7pm.
  • The Music of Led Zepplin presented by the Houston Symphony – Conductor and arranger Brent Havens and Zebra lead singer Randy Jackson join the Houston Symphony to capture Led Zeppelin’s “sheer blast and power” riff for riff in electric performances of classic hits such as “Stairway to Heaven,” “Black Dog” and “Immigrant Song.” $29 to $115. 7:30pm.
  • Waugh Bridge Bat Colony Pontoon Boat Tour – Embark on a 90-minute Saturday evening boat tour from downtown Houston. $30. Tours sell out in advance. 30 minutes before sunset.
  • Pixar’s WALL-E Movie Screening at Discovery Green | FREE – See WALL-E and EVE battle to save the earth via a spaceship filled with overly sated and hapless humans. 9pm.
  • More Great Things to Do All Weekend Long – Some of the biggest things happening in Houston this weekend are happening all weekend long.

  • Caroline Sessions 5.5 at White Space HOU | FREE – Catch Second Lovers at a free barbecue potluck, with Saint Arnold beers, at the latest installment of the Caroline Sessions. Noon.
  • Stand Up Paddle Boarding at Discovery Green – Ready to try something new this weekend? Paddle around Kinder Lake with professional instruction and beautiful surroundings. No reservations required. $10. 11am to 5pm.
  • City of Houston Swimming Pools | FREE – Dive into one of Houston’s 37 free swimming pools around the city.
  • H-Town Sneaker Summit at NRG Center – Join 5,000 sneaker heads at the world’s largest gathering to buy, sell, trade, browse and discuss rare, vintage and collectible sneakers and fashions. 3pm to 8pm.
  • Orlando Movie Screening at MFAH – This gender-bending 1992 indie film starring Tilda Swinton covers four centuries of sexual politics through the eyes of its sex-switching, time-traveling title character. Included with museum admission. 5pm.
