  • Children’s Music Class in the Park at Sugar Land Town Square | FREE – Presented by Vivaldi Music Academy, this morning event welcomes families with children ages 1 to 5 for singing and dancing while exploring themes that inspired some of history’s greatest classical composers. 10am.
  • Earthday Seedling Giveaway at Evelyn’s Park | FREE – Get involved this Earth Day by taking home one of more than 500 tree seedlings from Evelyn’s Park Conservancy and Trees for Houston during this distribution event, including species like pecan, white oak, redbud, mulberry and more. One seedling per person is allowed. 11am to 2pm.
  • HCCC presents Craft Chats: Exploring Alternative Firing Processes with Kathryn Hall | FREE | Virtual – Join curator Kathryn Hall for a closer look at the alternative firing processes used by ceramicists James C. Watkins and Anna Mayer, both of which are featured in soon-to-close exhibitions at Houston Center for Contemporary Craft. 1pm to 1:30pm.
  • Children’s Bingo at Levy Park | FREE – Start your weekend early with a 30-minute, socially distanced game of bingo for ages 4 to 12, with cards, markers, and prizes provided by Levy Park. 4:30pm.
  • CAMH presents Virtual Talk and Screening: Julia Trotta & Rebecca Matalon on Zoom | FREE | Virtual – Tune in for an engaging virtual discussion between curator Rebecca Matalon and New York–based filmmaker, curator, and writer Julia Trotta, in conjunction with the exhibition Wild Life: Elizabeth Murray & Jessi Reaves and the 50th anniversary of Linda Nochlin’s “Why Have There Been No Great Women Artists?” 4:30pm.
  • Lawndale Art Center presents Conversation with Tierney Malone & Dr. Daina Ramey Berry on Zoom | FREE | Virtual – Listen in to a thought-provoking conversation on race and history between visual artist Tierney Malone and Dr. Daina Ramey Berry, an award-winning author, scholar of the enslaved, and specialist on gender and slavery as well as Black women’s history. 5:30pm.
  • Adrian Michael in Concert at One Fifth Southern Comfort | No Cover – Tap your toes to the catchy tunes of Adrian Michael when the Houston-based singer-songwriter performs on the patio at Chef Chris Shepherd’s One Fifth in Montrose. 6pm.
  • Texas Eagles: Eagles Tribute in Concert at Market Street in The Woodlands | FREE – Check in to the Hotel California when the Texas Eagles pay tribute to classic rock band The Eagles, with an evening concert of their many hits at Market Street. 6pm to 8pm.
  • Game On! at Houston Zoo Find clues needed to escape during a fun-filled, adults-only, escape room–style experience at the Houston Zoo, where visitors solve puzzles to save the day while navigating the outdoor areas of the zoo. This experience will take place after-hours and guests will find food and beverage items available for purchase during the event. $35 per person. 6pm to 9:30pm.
  • Roots from the Clay in Concert at House of Blues | FREE – Vibe to the sounds of reggae when local band Roots from the Clay takes to the stage in the heart of Downtown at House of Blues’ restaurant and bar. All-ages show. 6:30pm.
  • Zumba on the Lawn at Redemption Square | FREE – Find your flow and get both your body moving and your heart racing in Atascocita during an outdoor Zumba class on the lawn of Redemption Square. 6:30pm.
  • Thursday Jazz with Houston Ensemble at 8th Wonder Brewery | No Cover – Head to EaDo for an evening filled with the sounds of live jazz under the stars while sipping on a wide variety of delicious local brews from the folks at 8th Wonder Brewery. 6:30pm to 9:30pm.
  • Beetle in the Backyard at The Continental Club Hear all-time sixties faves from the Beatles when the Continental Club hosts the popular local tribute group, Beetle, for a live show in the Club’s backyard patio in Midtown. 7pm to 10pm.
  • The Reverent Few in Concert at McGonigel’s Mucky Duck | Virtual Option – Catch a live set from blues-rock duo The Reverent Few, when they bring their blend of blues and country to the stage at the Mucky Duck in Upper Kirby. $120 to $180; $30 virtual tickets. 7pm.
  • Brewery Bingo at Eureka Heights Brewing Co. | No Cover –  Shout “Bingo!” while enjoying a few cold ones when Eureka Heights Brewery in the Heights hosts six rounds of brewery bingo in their taproom. 7pm to 8:30pm.
  • Wes Nickson in Concert at The Rustic Downtown | No Cover – Tap your foot along to the country music of Wes Nickson when he brings his singer-songwriter tunes to the stage at The Rustic in Downtown for an outdoor concert. 7pm.
