- Houston Astros vs. Los Angeles Angels at Minute Maid Park | Daily – The Astros host the Angels for a four-game homestand in Downtown. The first 10,000 lucky fans through the gate over the weekend will also have a shot at limited giveaways like Jose Altuve and Yordan Alvarez bobbleheads, or an Altuve replica jersey. $15 to more than $175, but you may find better or cheaper seats on the TicketNetwork marketplace. Times vary.
- Circus Hermano Vazquez at Katy Mills Mall | Daily – Marvel at the high-flying circus acts of the Vazquez family taking place under a massive, colorful tent. See trapeze artists soar, motorcyclists take to the daunting cage, dancing, and many other acts. $30 for adults; $25 for ages 2 to 10. Times vary.
- Comedian Marlon Wayans at Houston Improv | Thursday to Saturday – Fall out of your chair laughing when comedian, writer, director, and movie star Marlon Wayans takes to the stage at Houston Improv to bring his over-the-top, animated brand of humor for five socially distanced shows. $160 for a table of four, $240 for a table of six. Showtimes vary.
- College Baseball: UH Cougars vs. University of Southern Florida at Schroeder Park | Friday to Sunday – Cheer on the University of Houston Cougars when they step up to the plate for a four-game series (including a doubleheader) against the University of Southern Florida Bulls at Schroeder Park. $15; $10 for ages 12 and under, but you may find cheaper or better seats on TicketNetwork’s resale site. Times vary.
- Tall Ship Nao Santa María & 1877 Tall Ship Elissa Tours at The Galveston Historic Seaport | Saturday & Sunday – Get a rare first-hand glimpse of how ships of different eras operate when Galveston’s own 1877 Tall Ship Elissa is joined by the Tall Ship Nao Santa María on the dock at the Galveston Historic Seaport for one week only of tours presented by the Galveston Historical Foundation where guests can learn about the hallmark vessels that travels throughout the world’s ports. $20 for combo tickets for both ships for adults; $11.50 for ages 6 to 18; free for ages 5 and under. Individual tickets for a single ship—either Nao Santa María or Elissa—are $10 for adults; $6.50 for ages 6 to 8; free for 5 and under. 10am to 5pm both days.
- Opera in the Heights: Highlights from Lucia and Figaro at White Oak Music Hall | Saturday & Sunday – Head out to the lawn at White Oak for a pair of live concerts highlighting Donizetti’s “Lucia di Lammermoor” and Mozart’s “Marriage of Figaro”, conducted by artistic director Eiki Isomura. $125 for a pod of up to six people. Saturday 7:30pm; Sunday 4pm.
- Spring Breakout Aerial Adventures at Big Rivers Waterpark | Saturday & Sunday – Head to New Caney for the final two days of the Spring Breakout event, featuring an inflatable obstacle course on the lake, climbing walls, zip lines, aerial activities, axe throwing, a petting zoo and more. $14.99 per person and most activities are available with this general admission pass. Extreme Breakout passes, which include the additional events are $59.99, but a limited number are discounted to $42 on select days. 11am to 5pm both days.
- Consequential Journeys Exhibition at Archway Gallery | Daily – Witness Archway’s April 2021 exhibition, Consequential Journeys, featuring new works by Becky Soria that explore the human figure, less from its familiar shapes and much more from within, in an effort to bring to life the stark perceptions of the difficult times we are living in currently. The exhibition will be on display through Thursday, April 29, 2021. Times vary.

- Earthday Seedling Giveaway at Evelyn’s Park | FREE – Get involved this Earth Day by taking home one of more than 500 tree seedlings from Evelyn’s Park Conservancy and Trees for Houston during this distribution event, including species like pecan, white oak, redbud, mulberry and more. - HCCC presents Craft Chats: Exploring Alternative Firing Processes with Kathryn Hall | FREE | Virtual – Join curator Kathryn Hall for a closer look at the alternative firing processes used by ceramicists James C.
