- 30th Annual Tour de Braz Bike Ride at Alvin Community College – Alvin Community College is the starting point for a beautiful, family-friendly ride through the Brazoria area countryside along 34-, 50-, 65-, and 100-mile routes with a post-race beer garden, music, and free food after. Registration starts at $40 per person. 7am to 5pm.
- Hatchling Hustle 5k at Babe’s Beach – Turtle Island Restoration Network is putting on their first 5K and 1-mile fun run in Galveston to benefit the network and raise awareness for sea turtle nesting season. Registration is $40 for the 5K ($30 for ages 17 and under); $25 for the 1-mile fun run ($20 for ages 17 and under). 7:30am to 11am.
- 3rd Annual Race for the Dome at the Houston Astrodome – Celebrate the Dome’s 58th birthday with fellow Dome lovers as you take part in a 5k racing around the iconic space. Kids can also participate in the 1K event. $35; $20 for Kids 1k. 8am.
- Kegs & Eggs Sand Volleyball Tournament at Wakefield Crowbar – Power up on breakfast tacos and then play volleyball to help raise funds for a good cause. $30 and up. 9am to 9pm.
- Lauren Anderson Ballet Master Class at Fort Bend Academy of Arts & Dance – Ages 12 and up are welcome to drop in on this class taught by the barrier-breaking prima ballerina, Lauren Anderson. $25. 10am to 11:30am.
- Studio Saturday at Rienzi – Artists of all levels can discover new techniques for drawing, sketching and composition at the MFAH’s center for European Decorative Arts. $10. 10am to 6pm.
- Holler Spring Fling Market at Holler Brewing Co. | FREE – This family-friendly event at the Arts District brewery features beer, more than 20 vendors, live music and more. 11am.
- NAHSE Houston Scholarship Committee Brunch & Books at Dish Society | No Cover – The Houston chapter of the National Association of Health Services Executives hosts this event to raise money for its scholarship fund. Bring a new or gently used to book to exchange with other participants. Food purchases are on you. Space is limited and registration is required. 11am to 1pm.

- Como La Flor Market at the Esplanade on Navigation | No Cover – This recurring pet-friendly market in East Downtown offers an afternoon of cumbias, cultura and local vendors offering handcrafted and one-of-a-kind goods, with some special tributes to Selena. 11am to 4pm.
- Black Restaurant Week: The Finale Sunday Brunch at Astor Farm to Table – Wrap up the two-week celebration of Black-owned restaurants with a Sunday brunch at the Katy-area farm-to-table restaurant. Menu prices vary. 11am to 4pm.
- Houston Roughnecks vs. Vegas Vipers at TDECU Stadium – Cheer on the Roughnecks in their final home game of the regular season before they head into the playoffs. $10 and up. 11:30am.
- 15th Annual Margarita Taste Off at Kirby Ice House Memorial City – Who’s got the best margarita? You decide as you sip, sample and vote for your favorites. There’s also a DJ, auction, beer and wine, a tequila station, photo ops and other fun. $100. 1pm.
- Fright Night Halloween Fest & Market 1.5 at Bad Astronaut Brewing Co. – Wear a costume and celebrate the halfway point to Halloween with over 50 local vendors, unusual performances, craft beer, live music from Holy Hell, and more. $10 and up; free for ages 10 and under. 1pm to 9pm.

- Run for the Rose 5K & Family K at University of Houston – This 20th annual charity run raises funds for brain cancer research in the name of Dr. Marnie Rose, who lost her life to the disease in 2002. Those participating will follow a stroll, 1K, or 5K route snaking through a part of the University of Houston campus. $35 and up; $15 and up for ages 3 to 12. 8am.
- Goat Yoga & Discovery Playtime at B-52 Brewing – Head to Conroe and join Goat Yoga Houston for this all-levels yoga class where goats “help” you meditate and perfect your poses. All levels welcome. $36. 10am.
