  • Precious Jewels 20th Year Anniversary Celebration – Calling all Alumni, family and friends to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the Precious Jewels Academics and Fine Arts School. $22. 11am to 3pm.

  • Monster Jam at NRG Park – Watch as monster trucks fly through the air and smash everything in their paths at Monster Jam. Arrive early for The Pit Party from 2:30pm to 5:30pm. Tickets start at $35, but you may find cheaper or better seats on TicketNetwork’s resale site. 7pm to 10pm.
  • Ghanaian Urban Movement Ball – Celebrate at GUM’s inaugural ball, complete with music from DJ Kwadwo at Gardenia Reception Hall. $10 in advance; $15 at the door. 9pm.
  • A State of Bass: Drum & Bass Edition at Stereo Live – Head to Stereo Live for a night of percussion featuring Baud Optics, KB-Nasty, Coquet and Signalfista. Free RSVPs on a first come, first serve basis; $5 for express entry. 9pm.

  • Houston Skating Stars at The Ice | FREE – Watch as the region’s best skaters perform at the Ice on Discovery Green. 6pm.
  • Kathy Burrell: Butterfly Presented by Yourweh Music Group – Celebrate the release of Grammy Nominee, Kathy Burrell’s single Butterfly with the Yourweh Music Group at Sammy’s at 2016 Main. $22. $54 VIP. 7pm to 10pm.
