  • Boo Dash 5K & Kids Fun Run at Clear Lake Recreation & Community Center – The third annual casual run event in Clear Lake brings together families and kiddos for a Halloween costume contest in addition to the 5K and Kids Run. Registration is $45, increasing to $50 on race day; Kids run registration is $15, increasing to $20 on race day. 8am.
  • Halloween in the Hangar 2021 at Lone Star Flight Museum – Bring the kiddos out to celebrate the spookiest holiday among aircraft at Lone Star Flight Museum’s Halloween in the Hangar event, featuring a safe and fun twist on trick-or-treating for 2021. Trick-or-treating will be from 10am to noon and those under 12 in full costume get in free all day. Included with general admission; $15 for adults; $13 for ages 12 to 17 and 65+; $10 for ages 4 to 11; free for ages 3 and under. 10am to 5pm.
  • 13th Annual Halloween Classic Car Show at National Museum of Funeral HistoryScope out a variety of cars from classic to contemporary decked out in creepy decor (including a few hearses). Plus kick it with live DJ tunes, a silent auction, local food vendors, kids’ activities, and more. Starts at $5. 10am to 3pm.
  • Halloween Fest at Rosenberg Railroad Museum – The Fort Bend railroad museum hosts a full day of family-friendly fun, including games in the afternoon with Garden Railroad Halloween trains, then spooky tales, creepy cabooses, trick-or-treating, and more at night. $7.50 for adults; $5 for children. 10am to 8pm.
  • Wonderland Market at Cinco Ranch High School | No Cover – Get your fall shopping out of the way ahead of November (or get an early jump on Christmas goods) at a market that showcases fall and Christmas decor, handcrafted items, and more goods from small businesses and local vendors. 10am to 5pm.
  • A DogPop Halloween at Heights House Hotel | No Cover – Grab your four-legged best friend and head to the hip Heights hotspot for three doggy costume contests, shopping from dog product vendors, DJ tunes, and food and drink from Space Cowboy. 11am to 3pm.
  • Miss Ivy’s Spooktacular Halloween Party at Fort Bend Museum – This all-ages celebration offers spooky games, sweet treats, crafts, costumes and more at the Fort Bend Museum. $10 for adults; $5 for children. Noon to 4pm.
  • Magnolia Park Día de los Muertos 8th Anniversary Celebration at Hidalgo Park | FREE – The community of Magnolia Park, one of the oldest Latino neighborhoods in the city of Houston, hosts its 8th anniversary celebration for Día de los Muertos, featuring art from Laura Cano-Lopez, a community altar, live music and dance performances, local vendors, and a slate of special honorees for 2021. Noon to 6pm.
  • Halloween Carnival at Jimmy Burke Center in Deer Park – Get down at a special all-ages Halloween carnival that features rides, games, candy, a costume contest, pumpkin patch and more. Carnival wristbands are $8 and include unlimited rides; $5 for pumpkin town tickets. 2pm to 5pm.
  • Día de los Muertos at Kemah Boardwalk | FREE – The Boardwalk has an all-day celebration planned for Day of the Dead, featuring sugar skull activities, live mariachi music and folklorico performances, a costume contest, and more. 2pm to 10pm.
  • Halloween Town 2021 at Constellation Field – The ballpark in Sugar Land hosts another year of Halloween Town, featuring candy, vendors, a costume contest, rides, and much more. Prices vary. 3pm to 9pm.
  • Kingwood Boofest at Town Center Park | FREE – The fourth annual family and pet-friendly Boofest includes vendors, a mini pumpkin patch, bounce houses, candy at every booth and more at Town Center Park in Kingwood. Costumes are encouraged. 4pm to 9pm..
  • Harbor Halloween Party on the 1877 Tall Ship Elissa – In Galveston, the tall ship celebrates its 144th birthday by hosting a special outdoor event with Saint Arnold brews, celebratory cake, food, music and prizes for those who arrive in costume. $75. 6pm to 9pm.
  • Halloween Festival at Texas Avenue Park in Webster | FREE – The city of Webster stakes out Texas Avenue Park on Halloween Eve for a special festival featuring a haunted house, food vendors, game booths, and more. 6pm to 9pm.
  • Scream on the Green at Discovery Green | FREE – The Downtown park hosts a citywide Halloween celebration with a costume contest, music, and film screening of the 1988 Tim Burton classic, Beetlejuice. 6pm to 10pm.
  • Doomsday Wrestling at Market Square Park | FREE – The live, body-slamming comedy show comes to Downtown for a full night of laughter from the wacky, Halloween-themed wrestlers. In addition to the action, enjoy fun lawn games, drinks and music. 7pm to 10pm; wrestling starts at 8pm.
  • Noche de los Muertos Halloween Party at Heights House Hotel | No Cover – Space Cowboy and the Heights House Hotel will be swinging with DJ tunes, a costume contest with cash prizes and swag, a night market by Miradela, cocktails, and more at an out-of-this-world Halloween and Day of the Dead mash-up celebration. 7pm to 2am.
  • FLAS presents Calavera con Calavera at Miller Outdoor Theatre | FREE | Virtual Option – Experience the story between life and death with an ending that will surprise the audience while exploring the origins and history of the Day of the Dead. 7:30pm.
  • 94.5 the Buzz presents Halloween Bash with Blue October at Bayou Music Center – 94.5 the Buzz’s Theresa hosts this Halloween Bash in Downtown, complete with a costume contest, fun treats, and a special performance by Houston’s own, Blue October, performing on their This Is What I Live For tour. $38 to $59.50. 8pm.
  • Comedian Paula Poundstone at the Grand 1894 Opera House in Galveston – The historic Galveston opera house plays host to the highly-acclaimed comedian and frequent guest on NPR’s Wait, Wait…Don’t Tell Me, Paula Poundstone. $35 to $155. 8pm.
  • Spirits & Skeletons at Houston Museum of Natural Science – The Museum District hot spot will open up the entire museum, allowing for ghouls and goblins to enjoy a big Halloween bash with live music, DJs, food trucks, and drinks. $60. 8pm to 1am.
  • Jack Harlow with Babyface Ray at House of Blues – With his late-2020 debut album, Thats What They All Say, the rapper has begun charting a course of well-received releases, including this summer’s collaboration with Lil Nas X on “Industry Baby,” which debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100. $29.50 to $49.50, but you may find better, cheaper, or hard-to-get seats using the TicketNetwork online marketplace. 8:30pm.
