  • Comedian Michael Yo at Houston Improv | Thursday to Saturday – Welcome home native Houstonian and Emmy-nominated comedian Michael Yo, when he takes the stage at Houston Improv to raise his observations as the “Half-Black brother with a Korean mother”. Yo will perform five shows, including a family-friendly, ages 14 and up show on Thursday, April 1. $40 to $180 for a table of 2 to 6 people. Showtimes vary.
  • Lower Heights Curb Market at Sawyer Heights Lofts | Thursday, Saturday & Sunday | No Cover – In the Lower Heights area near Target, this weekly market takes place every Thursday, Saturday and Sunday, bringing together food vendors, small businesses, and local artisans for visitors to peruse.   • Easter Egg Hunts & Activities Around Houston | Friday to Sunday – Get outdoors and hunt down Easter eggs, treats and family-friendly activities that are taking place across Houston all Easter weekend long. Times, prices, and locations vary.

  • Astrodome Conservancy presents Race for the Dome: Virtual Edition with Limited Onsite Race Option | Starts Friday | Virtual – Race for a brighter future for the Astrodome during an in-person and virtual race to benefit the Astrodome Conservancy where runners, walkers and strollers are encouraged to race eight laps (approximately 5k) for the eighth Wonder of the World, at their own route and pace through Sunday, April 11, 2021. The first 500 race registrants will receive free limited-edition Astrodome swag; the first 200 registrants will have special access to complete onsite laps around the Astrodome at NRG Park. Registration starts at $30, which includes a finisher medal; $60 also includes bib and an official shirt.
  • Easter Egg-Stravaganza at Blessington Farms | Friday & Saturday – Hop over to Blessington Farms for an egg-cellent celebration of Easter, including hayrides, barrel trains, slides, animal encounters and an adventurous Easter egg hunt. $20 per person; free for ages 2 and under for Farm Funland; $3 to participate in the egg hunt. 9am to 4pm.
  • EggTivities at The Woodlands Children’s Museum | Friday & Saturday – Bring the camera and snap a picture with the Easter Bunny across two days of Easter-themed arts and crafts at the Woodlands Children’s Museum. Kiddos will enjoy creating a bunny mask, egg dyeing and crafting egg carton baskets or bunny boxes to carry eggs. General admission to the museum is $6. 10am to 2pm.
  • Easter Farm Days at P-6 Farms | Friday & Saturday – Make a stop in Montgomery for a meet-and-greet with the Easter Bunny, an egg hunt and activities like vintage amusement rides, fun farm attractions, duck races, games and more during an Easter weekend of excitement. $15.95 for ages 3 and up. 11am to 5pm.
  • Easter Experience at The Bridge in Richmond & Sugar Land | Saturday & Sunday | FREE – Experience Easter during two services that feature fun for the whole family including Easter egg giveaways, bounce houses, ice cream treats, obstacle courses, a rocking band, coffee and more, when The Bridge In Sugar Land and in Regal Theater hosts their series of Easter services on Saturday April 3 and on Easter Sunday, April 4, 2021. Times and locations vary.
  • Consequential Journeys Exhibition at Archway Gallery | Saturday & Sunday – Catch the opening of Archway’s April 2021 exhibition, Consequential Journeys, featuring new works by Becky Soria that explore the human figure less from its familiar shapes and much more from within, in an effort to bring to life the stark perceptions of the difficult times we are living in currently. The exhibition will be on display through Thursday, April 29, 2021. Times vary.
  • Spring Breakout Aerial Adventures at Big Rivers Waterpark | Saturday & Sunday – Head to New Caney for an outdoor adventure featuring an inflatable obstacle course on the lake, climbing walls, zip lines, aerial activities, axe throwing, a petting zoo and more. $14.99 per person and most activities are available with this general admission pass. Extreme Breakout passes, which include the additional events are $59.99, but a limited number are discounted to $42 on select days. 11am to 5pm both days.
  • John P. McGovern Playground at Discovery Green | Daily – Closed for more than year due to renovations, the fresh digs of the John P. McGovern Playground are finally open to the public at Discovery Green in Downtown. Enjoy two new expanded areas for toddlers and older kids, ample seating, and extended shady areas. Open daily 6am to 11pm.
  • 5 Must Do Things Around Sam Houston National Forest | Daily Camp, hike, fish, watch wildlife and more while exploring a massive, 160,000-acre woodland that stretches across three counties just north of Houston.
  • AIDS Walk Houston 2021: Virtual Edition | Daily | Virtual – Walk, run, dance, swim, or even cook to help raise funds for ending the HIV epidemic when AIDS Foundation Houston presents a virtual edition of its 32nd annual Walk to End HIV, where Houstonians can participate at their convenience any time through Thursday, April 1, 2021. Prizes will be awarded to individuals for every $50, $125, $500 and $1000 they raise, as well as to the top three fundraising teams in each category. Registration is required for the virtual experience. All day.

  • Mindful Mornings at Houston Arboretum & Nature CenterEngage in mindfulness during this outdoors event inspired by the “Forest Bathing” movements in South Korea and Japan, where visitors will participate in a guided meditation before being given time alone on the trails to soak in the benefits of nature. $15 for nonmembers; $10 for members. 9:30am to 10:30am.
  • There Is An Instant Exhibition at Archway Gallery | FREE – Catch the final day of Archway’s March 2021 exhibition, There Is An Instant, featuring works by artist Silvia PintoSouza that explore the fleeting moments of sunsets as well as life, inspired by 19th century Colombian poet Guillermo Valencia’s eponymous poem. 10am to 6pm.
  • Kingwood Farmers Market at Town Center Park | No Cover – Every week, this evening market provides grass fed beef and chicken, fresh produce, local honey, yard-raised eggs, Indian food, baked goods and more. Alongside these provisions, visitors will also find wares and artisan goods from local craft vendors. 3pm to 7pm.
  • Nick Gaitan in Concert at One Fifth Southern Comfort | No Cover – Tap your toes to the catchy tunes of Nick Gaitan when the Houston singer-songwriter and bassist performs on the patio at Chef Chris Shepherd’s One Fifth in Montrose. 6pm to 9pm.

  • Fish on Fridays at Saint Arnold Brewing Company – Satisfy your seafood cravings with a tasty order of Fish and Chips or a Blackened Catfish Po’boy each Friday during Lent when Saint Arnold’s Brewery hosts a Lent-friendly occasion that features dine-in, drive-thru, and curbside pickup. Menu prices vary per item. 11am to 10pm.
  • National Peanut Butter and Jelly Day at Ouisie’s Table Celebrate National Peanut Butter and Jelly Day with your pick of three different styles including traditional, toasted with fruit preserves, and a grilled Nutella sandwich, when Ouisie’s Table commemorates the occasion for PB&J enthusiasts. $17 for all three. Noon.
  • Public Piano Play at Levy Park | FREE – Show off your skills or sit and watch others as they tickle the ivories at Levy Park’s outdoor solar-powered piano where all skill levels are invited to display their talents in Upper Kirby. Noon to 6pm.
  • All Access Art Market at Finn Hall | No Cover – Taking place in Downtown once every month, the local art market offers a platform for vendors, artists, designers and creators to showcase and sell their artwork. 4pm to 10pm.
  • Wakefield Night Market at Walking Stick Brewing Company | No Cover – Held on the first and third Friday of the month in the Garden Oaks/Oak Forest neighborhood, the evening market includes thirty local vendors for visitors to shop art, food and small business goods. Grab a beer from Walking Stick or dinner from the neighboring Wakefield Crowbar to round out the evening. 5pm to 9pm.
  • BLCK Market at Buffalo Soldiers National Museum – In the Museum District, this market showcasing Black-owned businesses and entrepreneurs takes place at the Buffalo Soldiers National Museum on the first Friday evening and second Saturday afternoon of each month. General Admission is $5, with limited free tickets available. 6pm to 10pm.
  • Ancient Cat Society in Concert at McGonigel’s Mucky Duck Hear beautiful harmonies when the Houston folk trio Ancient Cat Society take the stage at McGonigel’s Mucky Duck in Upper Kirby for a socially distanced performance. Starts at $120 for four; $180 for six. 7pm.
  • FUNomenal Fridays at The Rink at Discovery Green – Skate into the night under the Houston skyline while jamming to music by DJ Boris and taking in a light show. $12 per person and includes skate rental. Tickets must be purchased online in advance. 7pm to 9pm.
  • Sugar Land Movie Night Drive-In: Grease at Crown Festival Park The online votes for Sugar Land Movie Night Drive-In’s People’s Choice have been counted and this Friday’s family-friendly screening will be the 1978 timeless singalong, Grease, starring John Travolta and Olivia Newton John. Concessions, as well as alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages will be available for sale. Restrooms and hand sanitation stations will be available on-site. $20 per car. Tickets must be purchased online in advance. Gates open at 5:30pm; movie begins at 7:30pm.
  • Kaos in Concert at Sugar Land Town Square | FREE – Don your best ’80s apparel and rock out to Kaos as they cover hits from the big hair era and beyond. 7:30pm to 9:30pm.
  • ’90s Night with The Monicas in Concert at Red Dwarf HTX | No Cover – Spend a night on the Midtown dance floor as The Monicas play beloved ’90s tunes on the Red Dwarf HTX stage. 8pm.
  • Houston Symphony: A Bach Easter at Jones Hall | Virtual Option – Kick off Easter weekend with the timeless music of Bach at this in-person and virtual concert that features Concerto for Oboe and Violin, two cantatas performed by internationally renowned vocalists Yulia Van Doren and Elizabeth DeShong, and the well-known Suite No. 2. $29 to $84; virtual tickets are $20. 8pm.
  • Bonnie Bishop in Concert at The Heights Theater Head to the Heights to enjoy a live concert from Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter Bonnie Bishop when she brings her two decades worth of country music chops to the stage for a socially distanced concert. $22 to $288.
