Dine on a delectable and original meal prepared by Houston’s own chef Monica Pope in the expansive gardens of an amazing River Oaks estate with Sunday Supper with the Pope on Sunday evening, December 1, 2013.

Hosted in some of the city’s most stunning luxury homes, attendees get an up close and personal culinary experience with nationally acclaimed Chef Monica Pope of Sparrow Bar + Cookshop. These custom-designed dinners and lawn parties are limited to only 70 guests who are each required to arrive armed with their own plate and good conversation.

The Sunday Supper

The fourth supper in the series, this event will celebrate the communal spirt of the holiday season with a special “Friendsgiving” theme. Expect a menu featuring beet cured salmon with hazelnut pesto, creamed greens with pickled stems and radishes, crab wonton with spicy shrimp broth and lentil salad with quince, pecans and herbs. A selection of dessert bites will include white chocolate-cranberry cookies, mini gingerbreads and cardamom thumbprints.

The Outstanding Home

Guests will get a sneak peak at a truly one-of-a-kind residence at 3940 Inverness in the ultra-prestigious Tall Timbers estate section of River Oaks, courtesy of John Daugherty, Realtors. One of the agency’s luxury listings, this home’s expansive grounds encompass a party pavilion with bar and stage, tennis court with viewing stands and three swimming pools – one of which is said to be the largest private pool in the country.

Originally built in 1958 and renovated extensively, the home was featured in the 1973 film The Thief Who Came to Dinner starring Ryan O’Neal, Jacqueline Bisset, Ned Beatty and Jill Clayburgh.

Motorwerks will provide complimentary valet parking and display the newest makes and models of top European and other sought-after exotic vehicles.
