Celebrate Star Wars Day with art inspired by the Galaxy Far, Far Away with live music, cocktails and Star Wars-inspired fun at the third annual, family-friendly Star Wars Art Festival on Sunday, May 4, 2014 from 2pm to 7pm.
As Star Wars Day (“May the fourth be with you”) becomes ever-more engrained in our holiday-celebrating the culture, one of the most original celebrations out there has to be War’hous Visual Studios’ annual Star Wars Art Festival. Curated by Houston visual artist and event curator Dandee Warhol, the event draws more than 1,000 attendees to see original Star Wars-inspired works of art crafted by more than 100 artists (including “El Vader” shown above)
This year, the family-friendly event is has moved to a bigger space and will be a Sunday afternoon affair. There will be music from DJ Yung Slutty. Drinks will be available to purchase, thanks to sponsor Deep Eddy Vodka.
Expect to see guests in Star Wars gear. You’re encouraged to wear your own, or dress up in full Star Wars regalia.
If that’s not your speed, check out our list of other Star Wars Day events happening across Houston.
The Force will be with you, always.
