Fill up on Pho, Viet-Cajun crawfish, and other Vietnamese classics at Saigon House.

Located near the intersection of Main and Elgin Street in the heart of Midtown, the Asian bistro serves international dishes with a focus on high-quality ingredients and innovative techniques.

Originally opened in 2015, the Asian-fusion restaurant has veered towards a Viet-Cajun approach today under the direction of up-and-coming chef Tony J. Nguyen.

Set on the MetroRail line between the Ensemble/HCC and McGowen stations, the lunch and dinner hotspot is walking distance from both stops −which is makes it a great choice for large parties looking to get together for food and drinks or watch parties.

The Menu

Steeped in his family roots of cooking Viet-Cajun crawfish −a style which calls Houston home, Nguyen kept with his familial traditions when putting together the menu for Saigon House.

Hungry guests can chow down on delectable house specialties including, oxtail pho, sizzling shaken beef, grilled lemongrass ribeye banh mi, and of course, the Viet-Cajun crawfish and other seafood boil items −which are available all day.

If you do decide to try one of the boils, which we highly recommend, you’ll have the tasty choice between live crawfish, jumbo shrimp, and snow crab.

Flavor & Spice Choices

Once the boil item is decided, visitors can choose between any of the restaurants four signature flavors and an additional choice of spice level to suit any guest’s preferences.

Flavors include H-Town Bang (garlic and spices), Saigon Heat (citrus and onions), Third Coast Sand (cajun seasoning), and Thai Surprise (chiles, basil, lemongrass). As for the spice level, the restaurant keeps it light-hearted and transparent (heed the warnings) with choices that include, “Sissy Unicorn”, “Fiery Phoenix”, “Angry Dragon”.
