Give your kids a taste of live New Year’s Eve countdowns at family-centric Noon Year’s Eve celebrations and more events around Houston, inside and well outside of the Loop, on New Year’s Eve, Wednesday, December 31, 2025, and New Year’s Day, Thursday, January 1, 2026.

New Year’s Eve may be noted for staying up late to welcome the new year, but you can give the kids in your life an age-appropriate tease at events that count down to the hour, and feature balloons, entertainment, and more.

Rockin’ New Year’s Noon at Children’s Museum Houston | Museum District – Bring the kiddos out to a family-focused end-of-year bash ringing in the new year at the stroke of noon with live performances, giveaways, and a shimmering ball drop. Included with $19.95 admission. 9am to 3pm. Get tickets.

New Year’s Palooza: Family Celebration at Moody Gardens | Galveston – Welcome 2026 with a 1- or 2-night family getaway at Moody Gardens, with New Year’s Eve beginning with fireworks over Offatts Bayou at 8pm and concluding with a kids’ New Year’s Countdown, not to mention family games, bounce houses, arcade action, and more. City Place Countdown: Noon Year’s Eve at City Place | Spring | FREE – Celebrate the start of 2026 with an interactive kids’ DJ, festive characters, live music, and a balloon drop at noon. Toddler Noon Year’s Eve Party at Houston Public Library | Downtown | FREE – Downtown’s Public Library rings in the new year for little ons with a special confetti countdown to noon, with music, crafts, and dancing. 11:30am to 12:30pm. Learn more.

New Year’s at Noon at George Memorial Library | Richmond | FREE – The Fort Bend County library’s family event begins with light refreshments, crafts, and games for all ages, with a noon countdown and bubble release.
