The McGovern Centennial Gardens, Houston’s latest outdoors attraction, touts a unique collection of gardens, photo opps, and water displays perfect for a day at the park. Located in between the Med Center and Museum District, this charming patch of greenery also showcases a 30-foot mount that gives park guests a bird’s-eye view of the surrounding area. The grounds also include a rose garden, a woodland garden, a family garden, and busts of notable historical figures including Simon Bolivar, Benito Juarez, and Jose Marti, as well as full statues of Martin Luther King, Jr, and Mahatma Ghandi.
