
Enjoy free live music, cocktails, art shows, food specials, shopping and tremendous people watching this Thursday evening on hip Mid Main.
The weather is perfect to explore the shops, bars, restaurants and venues along the 3400 to 3700 blocks of Main Street. This month’s edition of Mid Main’s First Thursday celebration is throwing out the stops from 5pm to 10pm.
Head over to Main Street after 5pm and you can count on hearing great tunes, scoring some free or discounted drinks (21 and over of course), and getting free or discounted bar bites.
Here’s the rundown for Houston’s Mid Main First Thursday on March 7.
- Main Street Projects featuring the Art Show Hear Our Houston, The Human Tour with FREE Deep Eddy Vodka cocktails in the Art Garden – 6 pm to 9 pm.
- University of Houston Marching Band performs on Mid Main – 6:30 pm.
- Beetle Happy Hour @ The Continental Club (no cover) – 7 pm to 10pm.
- DJ Flash Gordon Parks in-store @ Sig’s Lagoon (no cover) – 7pm.
- Athousandcolors and Catchfever @ Shoeshine Charlie’s Big Top Lounge (no cover) – 8 pm.
- Nick Gaitan and the Umbrellaman @ Shoeshine Charlie’s Big Top Lounge – 10 pm.
- Los Guerreros De La Musica @ The Continental Club – 10 pm.
To top it all off, The Continental Club, Shoeshine Charlie’s Big Top Lounge, Tacos A Go-Go, Sig’s Lagoon, My Flaming Heart and Natachee’s are all donating 5% of their evening’s sales to support the Cynthia Mitchell Center for the Arts at University of Houston. The Center supports, commissions, and exhibits performing, visual, and literary arts that make an impact in Houston and across the globe.
