Welcome the return of rugby at Houston SaberCats’ season opener at Aveva Stadium

Scrum for a season opening win when the Houston SaberCats play the Seattle Seawolves at Aveva Stadium on Saturday, March 20, 2021.

After a year off, the 2021 Major League Rugby season will finally get underway this weekend when the Houston SaberCats open Week 1 with a home stand against the Seattle Seawolves at Aveva Stadium in South Houston.

This will be the fourth season opener for the SaberCats, who will embark on an 18-week haul through July 2021 in pursuit of their first playoff appearance.

Co-captained by Luke Beauchamp and Dewet Roos and featuring players like Uruguayan Diego Magno and United States International, Zachary Pangelinan, the Sabercats are represented by players from eleven countries.
