- Galveston Restaurant Week in Galveston | Daily – Happening throughout the month of January, the annual Galveston Restaurant Week offers diners a chance to try top dishes from dozens of the Island’s best eateries on prix-fixe breakfast, lunch, and dinner menus at very pocketbook-friendly prices. GRW runs through Sunday, January 28. Two- or three-course dinners range from $20 to $60; two-course lunches from $10 to $30; and brunches from $10 to $40. Prices, times and locations vary.
- Comedian Samuel J. Comroe at Houston Improv | Thursday to Saturday – The LA-based comic comes to the Spring Branch comedy club for a weekend of laughs. His sets are known for discussing his trials and tribulations of living with Tourette Syndrome and how that shapes his observations of the world around him. $40 for 2, and up. Times vary.
- The Riot Comedy Club presents Mike Vecchione at Rudyard’s Pub | Friday & Saturday – With decades of joke-telling under his belt, the New York City funnyman heads upstairs in Montrose for back-to-back nights of his sharp wit and sarcastic delivery. $25 and up. 7pm and 9pm.
- The Oak Ridge Boys in Concert at the Grand 1894 Opera House | Saturday & Sunday – Giddy up for a live performance for the smooth four-part gospel harmonies or upbeat country songs of the Oak Ridge Boys, best known for their 1981 chart-topper “Elvira”, along with other hits “Bobbie Sue,” “Dream On,” “Thank God for Kids” and more. $37 and up. 7:30pm.

- Monday Bingo Night at Galveston Island Brewing | FREE – The Tiki Wheat brewery hosts another edition of its weekly, family-friendly night of bingo with prizes on every round, hosted in their new indoor brewing facility. 5:30pm to 7:30pm.

- Table of Nations Dinner: Chef Maiwand Ahmadzai at Tolo Kabob House | Tuesday, January 16 (Postponed to Tuesday, January 30) – The new docuseries celebrating the international influence Houston’s diverse culinary scene presents the first of its three dinners—showcasing Afghan Chef Ahmadza. $54.88. 6:30pm to 8:30pm.
- Mean Girls Trivia at Little Woodrow’s Shepherd | No Cover – Get in loser, we’re doing trivia. Grab your clique and head to the Shepherd location of Little Woodrow’s for a night of Mean Girls–themed trivia with tall beer specials and themed drinks. 7pm.

- Elvis Costello & the Imposters, with Charlie Sexton at House of Blues – Living legend and Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Famer Sir Elvis Costello is bringing his band to the Downtown hotspot to celebrate his 32nd studio release, The Boy Named If. $49.50 and up. 7pm.
- Voodoo Glow Skulls in Concert at Last Concert Cafe – The Downtown venue hosts a punk bash with Voodoo Glow Skulls hitting the outdoor stage, and Mustard Plus providing support. $18. 7pm.
- Los Rangerz in Concert at Dan Electro’s Guitar Bar | FREE – Get a dose of solid country gold when the Spring-based Los Rangerz take the mic at the Heights guitar bar. 7pm.

- High Society Dinner Series at Musaafer – Upscale Indian eatery Musaafer has unveiled an upcoming avant-garde dinner collaboration with Bayou City Hemp and 8th Wonder Brewery, featuring eight courses of THC-infused dishes alongside infused mocktails and cocktails. Available in low-dose or high-dose seatings, the “High Society” series starts with a THC-infused seltzer before tasting through eight courses in the intimate dining area. $188, plus tax and gratuity. 5:30pm and 8:30pm.
- The Rado Wine Club at Eldorado Ballroom – Experience a blind tasting at the first Rado Wine Club of 2024, held in the recently renovated, historic Eldorado Ballroom in Third Ward. $30. 6pm to 8pm.

- Comedian Hasan Minhaj at Smart Financial Centre – The comedian and host of shows like Patriot Act on Netflix comes to Sugar Land to share his latest insights on the world of news and global politics. $69 and up. 7pm.
- Vapor Wave Night at The Compound – The touring cosplay party lands in East End with a night of Future funk and city pop DJs alongside photo opps and themed drinks. $20 and up. 9pm to 2am.

- 8th Annual Hops n’ Hot Sauce Festival at Humble Civic Center – Hot sauce enthusiasts can taste the fire at the 8th annual festival, featuring fresh craft beer, unlimited samples of hot sauces, salsas, seasonings, and more, food truck eats, and fun events like the Hot Pepper Eating Contest and Spicy Food Eating Challenge. $10; free for ages 12 and under. 11am to 5pm.

- The Burly Soirée: Feathered Follies at 8th Wonder Distillery – Spend your Sunday afternoon in EaDo with glamorous performances from Peter Pecker, Mara Ballerina, Divine Darlings’ Sadie Mercedes and Holly GoSpankMe, special guest Fantasia Black Diamond, and the Soirée’s host and producer, Lady AnnaBelle. $20 and up. 2pm to 4pm.
- Punk Rock Garage Sale at Bad Astronaut Brewing | No Cover – Shop all manner of vintage apparel, music, art, toys and collectibles, music gear and more at the monthly garage sale hosted by Insomnia Gallery. 2pm to 6pm.
