  • Houston Restaurant Weeks 2024 in Greater Houston | Daily | Ongoing – Benefiting Houston Food Bank, the Houston event rolls on for its 21st year, with a month of multi-course, prix-fixe menus for brunch, lunch and dinner at nearly 400 restaurants across the Greater Houston area, from The Woodlands and Katy to Sugar Land and beyond. $25 for brunch and lunch menus; $39 or $55 for dinners.
  • Ice House Radio at Brasil | Wednesday to Friday | FREE – Close out the week with three straight nights of live radio broadcasts from a deep roster of Houston DJs spinning their favorites on the back patio of Brasil in Montrose. 7pm to 11pm.
  • Dusty Slay at Houston Improv | Thursday to Sunday – As seen on the talk show circuit, Last Comic Standing, Comedy Central and countless stages across the country, the distinctive trucker-capped comedian brings his ironic observations and eternally optimistic outlook to the West Houston comedy club. $50 for 2, and up. Times vary.
  • Nathan Macintosh at The Riot Comedy Club | Friday & Saturday – With stops by Jimmy FallonThe Late Show with Stephen Colbert, and Conan, the comedian and podcast host brings his explosive stage presence to the upstairs mic in Montrose. $20 and up. Times vary.
  • Houston Astros vs. Chicago White Sox at Minute Maid Park | Friday to Sunday – Celebrate the 2024 class of Astros Hall of Famers when the White Sox come down south a special weekend of ceremonies and more. Giveaways include a Jose Altuve throwback jersey, a commemorative Altuve bobblehead, and a retro Astros duffle bag. $17 and up. Times vary.
  • Malibu Barbie Cafe at JunctionHTX Beer Garden | Friday to Sunday | Ongoing Master Chef finalist and Chopped Champion Chef Becky Brown crafts a fast casual menu for a Barbiecore dining experience, with curated cocktails like the Think Pink Margarita. $25 and up for a 90-minute reservation. 10am to 9pm.

  • 20 Years of Tears with Hawthorne Heights & More in Concert at Home Run Dugout – Shed all the tears when emo bands, Is For Lovers and Hawthorne Heights present the “20 Years of Tears” concert at Home Run Dugout. Thursday, Anberlin, Emery, This Wild Life, and Armor For Sleep open the show. $40. 3pm.
  • Suicideboys at Toyota Center – The hip-hop duo out of New Orleans bring their annual Grey Day tour through H-Town with support from a stellar group of artists such as Denzel Curry, Pouya, HAARPER, and more. $45.50 and up. 6pm.
  • Write About Now Poetry Slam Night at Rudyard’s – Write About Now presents its Poetry Slam Night, a fun, energy-filled, and competitive poetry event in which the best poets from Houston perform their work and are judged by random members of the audience. $10 and up. 7:30pm.

  • ThinkINK 2024 Closing Reception at The Silos at Sawyer Yards | FREE – PrintHouston’s Annual Members’ Exhibition features an amazing selection of lithography, woodcut, linoleum cut, etching, drypoint, metal engraving, and screen printing. 6pm to 8pm.
  • Juvenile & the 400 Degreez Band at White Oak Music Hall – A titan of Southern rap, Juvenile brings the 400 Degreez Band to heat up the White Oak stage with his perennial hit, “Back That Azz Up.” $49.50 and up. 7pm.
  • Kings of Leon at Toyota Center – The rockers are back in town for a good time, when they bring Phantogram on their Can We Please Have Fun world tour in celebration of their ninth studio album. $26 and up. 8pm.
  • The Roots in Concert at 713 Music Hall – The Philly hip-hop band makes a stop at the Post Houston venue, led by Black Thought and Questlove, and joined by openers Arrested Development and Digable Planets. $75.95 and up. 8pm.
  • Incredible India: Krishnaa: Fire to Frost at Miller Outdoor Theatre | FREE – The Abhinava Dance Company tells the story of Draupadi, one of the most memorable characters in the great Indian epic, the Mahabharata. Through narration, song and dance, Draupadi’s tale is told with its many life experiences that shaped her unique perspective and journey toward peace through dignity, elegance and power. 8:30pm.
  • Lady Bits: 6th Anniversary at The Secret Group – Celebrating its sixth anniversary, the Lady Bits show at the EaDo comedy club features stand-up from Netra Netra Netra and Lotto Marie, hosted by Tressa Eleby. $10 and up. 9pm.
  • Mister & Miss Pride Galveston Pageant at Island Time Beach Bar – In the run up to Pride Galveston (taking place over Labor Day Weekend), contenders for the Mister & Miss Pride titles will sashay, strut and celebrate individuality in a celebratory night near the Seawall. Cover at the door. 9pm to 11pm.
  • Pink Emo Club at Barbarella – Party like a Midwest princess at this indie pop party with hits and deep cuts from artists like Chappell Roan, Charlie XCX, Muna, Sabrina Carpenter, and many more. $12.83. 9:30pm.
  • Lost Kings DJ Set at Noto Houston – Catch a live set by the LA-based EDM duo at the East End nightclub. $15. 10pm.
  • Magdalena DJ Set at Bauhaus – The house and techno queen from Hamburg makes her Bauhaus debut in Downtown. $10 and up. 10pm.

  • Karbach Latina Festival at Karbach Brewing Co. | FREE – This all-day fest at the Spring Branch brewery celebrates Latina artists, entrepreneurs and creatives. Texas Salsa Congress will be on hand with free salsa classes, plus you can shop a local market of Latina vendors, take in music from DJs Gracie Chavez and Caribbeats, and more. 11am to 6pm.
  • Cooking Party with the Chef: Moroccan at Messina Hof Winery – Spend the day recreating the naturally flavorful cuisine of the Mediterranean alongside expertly paired wines at this festive cooking party. $75. 12:30pm.
  • Paul Wall & Lil’ Keke in Concert at Home Run Dugout – Rescheduled from 713 Day due to Hurricane Beryl, this celebration of Houston features the H-Town rap legends teaming up at the Katy baseball bar, which will also host an exotic and custom car show along with exclusive merch and more. $40 and up. 3pm to 9pm.
  • Pat Green in Concert at The Rustic Downtown – The Texas country music legend comes to Houston for a live performance. Expect standing room only. $27 and up. 5:30pm.
  • Alex vs. America Viewing Party at Craft Pita – Come out to watch Chef Raffi, along with 2 chefs from California and New York, compete on the Food Network series, Alex vs. America, in a battle of Mediterranean food against Iron Chef Alex Guarnaschelli. Admission to the viewing party will get you two dishes made by Chef Raffi in the episode—grilled shrimp kabob with fattoush salad and Lebanese bolognese—plus alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. $50. 7:30pm to 9pm.
  • Mohama Saz in Concert at Dan Electro’s – The Mediterranean psych rock band touring from Spain will make an appearance in the Heights for a live performance. $15 and up. 8pm.
