Social Distancing, Mask Requirements & COVID-19 Precautions

Businesses around Greater Houston and the State of Texas are opening up and individual social distancing practices vary from location to location.

Masks are mandated for entering all business across the City of Houston and Harris County (through at least Tuesdays, June 30, 2020) in order to reduce the spread of the virus which is growing faster in Houston than the rest of Texas.

Local business owners, many already struggling, face a $1000 fine if they do not enforce this ruling. Texas Governor Greg Abbott has confirmed that local governments can mandate that counties and cities can enforce this rule and has asked that all Texans wear a mask in public, as Texas and Houston have quickly become a hotspot for cases of COVID-19.

It is expected that the mask order will be extended into July. Masks are worn to protect the other people around you and in the community. They have proven to significantly reduce the spread of COVID-19.

Please contact individual organizers directly if you have any questions about their operational guidelines during this time.
