  • 6th Annual Halloween Bar Crawl at Front Porch Pub | Friday, October 27 & Saturday, October 28 – Check in the at the Gray Street pub, then head out Midtown locations like Dogwood, Electric Feel Good, FAO, and others before wrapping up at the afterparty from 10pm to midnight at Playground. Wear your best costume to compete for a $1,000 nationwide grand prize, enjoy shots and drink specials, and more Halloween fun. $15 and up. 4pm to 10pm.
  • Trick or Drink: Houston Halloween Bar Crawl at Leon’s Lounge | Friday, October 27; Saturday, October 28 & Tuesday, October 31 – Get dressed up and take part in a 3-day Halloween pub crawl at Midtown bars, starting at Leon’s Lounge and preceding to other area hotspots like Social Beer Garden and Pour Behavior. $20. Times vary.
  • 49th Annual Texas Renaissance Festival in Todd Mission | Saturday, October 28 & Sunday, October 29 – The fourth weekend of the Tex Ren Fest celebrates All Hallow’s Eve on the fairgrounds. Expect a weekend of rivalry in the enchanted worlds of kings and queens, knights, fairies and elves, with unique activities, crowd-pleasing performances and delicious eats. Tickets range from $24 to $35. 9am to 8pm.
  • 3rd Anniversary Halloween Parties at Pier 6 Seafood & Oyster House | Saturday, October 28 & Sunday, October 29 – The San Leon oyster house will celebrate its third year with an epic weekend-long Halloween bash, featuring spooky decor and decked-out staff, food and drink specials, candy for kiddos, plenty of live entertainment and prizes for Best Dressed. Menu prices vary. Saturday 11am to 10pm; Sunday 11am to 9pm.
  • Spirits of the Bayou Boat Tour at Allen’s Landing | Sunday, October 29 & Halloween, Tuesday, October 31 – Hear some of the lesser-known stories of ghosts, lost souls, and spirits of the bayou as tour guide Andrew Groocock unravels some of the haunted tales and legends of Buffalo Bayou. $40. 6pm.

  • Houston Happy Hour Halloweekend Bar Crawl at the Dogwood – Check in at the Dogwood in Midtown and make your stops with other costumed revelers at surrounding bars offering drink specials, live DJs and a $2,000 grand prize costume contest. $15 and up. 4pm to 11pm.
  • Hops & History: A Tour of Old Settler’s Cemetery in Pearland – Take a tour starting from Vallensons’ Brewery in Pearland to the Old Settler’s Cemetary—just 20 minutes away—and hear some of the history from Pearland’s early beginnings. Tickets must be purchased in advance, and include two drink tokens. $25. 6pm.
  • Punch Party at Rienzi – Pull up for a masquerade ball at MFAH’s house for European decorative arts in River Oaks. Enjoy English punch, tour the collection and enjoy music at the Rienzi’s pool garden and from the terrace. $65. 6pm to 8pm.
  • Scream on the Green at Discovery Green | FREE – The free family-friendly celebration returns to Discovery Green with a night of costume contests, a dance party, roaming performers from Cirque Olympus and a lawn screening of Hocus Pocus. 6pm to 10pm.
  • Nature Horror Stories: An Adult Halloween Nature Night at Nature Discovery Center – This adults-only after hours event at the Nature Discovery Center in Bellaire sets out on a night hike through the park, with creepy nature stories, games, snacks and adult beverages. $25. 7pm to 9pm.
  • Halloween Costume Party at SpindleTap Brewery | No Cover – The North Houston brewery unveils their latest beer release and crowns a top costume at their Friday night Halloween bash. 7pm to 10pm.

  • Silent Film with Rob Landes: Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde at the Grand 1894 Opera House – Bringing a classic tradition to a modern audience, Rob Landes performs an improvised musical score set to John Barrymore’s 1920 silent film classic, Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde. The performance also recalls the history of the Opera House and its previous use as a silent film theater. $18 and up. 8pm.
  • Sonido Gallo Negro in Concert at Axelrad | FREE – The nine-piece from Mexico City brings the sounds of 1960s Peruvian cumbia to the neon garden in Midtown. The band integrates styles like Amazonian cumbia, huayno, cumbia sonidera, boogaloo and chicha (Peruvian cumbia) with electric guitars, Farfisa organ, theremin, flute and of course fluid Latin percussion. 8pm.
  • Crowbar Creepshow Halloween Party at Wakefield Crowbar | No Cover – Come dressed as your favorite spooky character, creature or supernatural being and vie for top prize in the costume contest at the Garden Oaks Halloween bash. Enjoy special craft cocktails and live tunes from the Randy Cobio Band. 8pm to 11pm.
  • Classic Halloween at Numbers Nightclub – Enjoy a Classic Numbers night with ’80s tunes spun by DJ Wes Wallace, and cash prizes handed out to the best costumes of the night. Cover charge at the door. 9pm to 2am.
  • Shrek Rave at Rise Rooftop – Celebrate everyone’s favorite ogre at this costume-heavy bash at the Midtown rooftop featuring live DJs, dancing and tributes to the characters of Shrek. $20 in advance; $30 at the door. 9pm to 2am.
  • DNVRMX presents Dracarys at Bauhaus – Open the Halloween weekend with a LGBTQ-friendly bash at the Downtown venue featuring music from DJ Nina Flowers. $20 and up. 10pm.

  • Halloween Classic Car Show at the National Museum of Funeral History – The annual Halloween-themed car show returns to the North Houston museum of all things funerary. Bring your treat bag trunk-to-trunk and check out the spooky decor on a slate of classic and modern vehicles. $10 per person; $15 per couple or family. 10am to 3pm.
  • Witchy Brunch at Brennan’s of Houston – The fine dining Creole institution invites guests to gather ‘round the cauldron for its annual Witchy Brunch. Wear something witchy and enjoy a three-course menu with favorites including Turtle Soup, Gumbo, Eggs Brennan’s, and more. $45. 11am to 2pm.
  • MusicFest 2023 at Willow Waterhole | FREE – In Southwest Houston, the annual MusicFest offers a full day of live music from the worlds of R&B, blues, jazz, rock and Southern roots, plus Halloween activities like trunk-or-treating, Halloween photo ops, and a costume parade, a haunted house, food and drink. 11am to 7pm.
  • Halloween at Truck Yard | No Cover – The EaDo hot spot hosts an all-day Halloween celebration open to families until 9pm. Stop by for all-day cauldron cocktails, dog and human costume contests, fortune tellers, and more. 11am to 2am.
  • Haunted Halloween Horror Market Pop-Up at Wildcatter Saloon in Katy – The Katy restaurant and grill hosts an all-day pop-up that features horror celebrity meet-and-greets, Halloween costume contests, local vendors, live music and more. $20 and up. Noon to 1am.
  • Howl-o-Ween at Holler Brewing Co. | No Cover – Bring your furry friend to the Arts District brewery, where their annual event will crown the next Ambassador Dog and host a pup costume contest along with dog vendors, live music and fresh brews from the tank. 2pm.
  • Halloween Pub Crawl at El Big Bad – Stroll the streets of Downtown Houston in costume at this Saturday night pub crawl that kicks off at El Big Bad before preceding to area drinkeries like Batanga, Dean’s, Etro and Henke & Pillot. $10 and up. 3pm to 7pm.
  • True Anomaly Halloween Bar Crawl in EaDo | No Cover – The out-of-this-world brewery in EaDo hosts a pub crawl this year, with a NASA-inspired Halloween patch up for those who collect stamps at all participating locations. Make your rounds then head back for an after party with DJ Marc West. 4pm to 8pm.

  • LetsDoThisHouston: 90s Hip Hop & R&B Costume Bike Ride at 3rd Ward Tours – Throw on a costume and cruise the streets of Houston with a special bike ride set to ’90s-era hip-hop and R&B tunes. The ride leaves from 3rd Ward Tours near Emancipation Park and will hit up bars along the route for a night of Halloween revelry on two wheels. $11; bike rentals available. 7pm to 10pm.
  • Halloween & The Day of the Dead at J-Bar-M Barbecue | FREE – The EaDo barbecue joint celebrates both Halloween and Day of the Dead with a night of music from DJ Pachuco Boogie Sound System and Los Skarnales, plus drink and food specials. 7pm to 10pm.
  • Boo on the Bayou Halloween Festival at Allen’s Landing Park | FREE – Thorn & Moon Magickal Market helps host a Downtown marketplace on Halloween weekend. Shop more than 100 artisan vendors while you take in special performances, tarot readers, live music, food trucks and more. Dress up and vie for first prize in the costume contest, then stick around to catch a spooky movie screening and bat bridge boat tours. 7pm to midnight.
  • 15th Annual Halloween Crawl in Montrose | No Cover – This Halloween bar crawl along the Westheimer Curve returns for another year. Kick off the night at La Grange and Poison Girl, before heading out to Wild, Pistolero’s, Roswell’s Saloon and Boondocks. Prizes are handed out to best costume throughout the night. 7:30pm to 2am.
  • Ken & Barbie Halloween Party at Red Lion Pub | No Cover – The British pub on Shepherd hosts a night for the Barbies and Kens. Compete in the costume contest and you could take home a $1,000 gift card. 8pm.
  • Spirits & Skeletons at Houston Museum of Natural Science – Party it up in HMNS after hours at the annual costumed bash held throughout the entire museum. Dance to live music from Danny Ray and the Atlantic Street Band as well as live DJs, enjoy food trucks outside and get down during spooky hours. $60. 8pm to 1am.
  • Texas Halloween Massacre 2023 at Warehouse Live – This year’s edition of the popular costume party heads to EaDo, featuring a $500 costume contest, plus multiple DJs, mechanical bull riding, photo booths, face painting, stilt walkers, vendors and more. $20 and up. 9pm.
  • Halloween Ball at Post Houston – The X Atrium at Post is the site for a Halloween weekend party featuring a night of music, live performances by Aerial Acrobats, Polaroids, themed cocktails and other spooky fun. Costumes strongly encouraged. $39 and up. 9pm to 1:30am.
  • Underworld’s Halloween Bash at Numbers Nightclub – Welcome the scary hours at the iconic Montrose nightclub with the annual Underworld bash with DJs and dancing all night, plus a traditional Halloween costume contest with cash prizes at midnight. Cover charge at the door. 9pm to 2am.
  • Discoween with Disco Expressions at Continental Club – Resident disco party band Disco Expressions spins the hits of the ’70s at this costumes-required event at the Mid-Main bar and stage. $15 and up. 9pm to 2am.
  • DNVRMX presents Hocus Pocus at Kiki Houston – In the heart of Montrose, KIKI Houston hosts a night of debauchery with Alex Acosta on the decks and a witches and wizards themed night out on Halloween weekend. $20 and up. 10pm.
  • Maxim Halloween Party at Noto Houston – Chase B provides the music for a big club bash at Noto in East End, with costumes required, VIP booths, lounge areas, and bottle service available. $25 and up. 10pm to 2am.

  • Halloween Town at Constellation Field – The ballpark in Sugar Land hosts another year of Halloween Town, featuring a costume contest, local vendors, food and drink, rides, and much more. $11 and up; VIP available. Noon to 4pm.
  • Boos & Brews at Urban South HTX | No Cover – Sip on specialty cocktails and Halloween beers, taste through a themed menu from GastroCraft, and shop local vendors at this Halloween bash on Sunday afternoon in Arts District. 1pm to 6pm.
  • Boo-Haus: Lilly Palmer DJ Set at Bauhaus – Party it up on a Halloween Sunday set from Lilly Palmer, along with back-to-back DJ sets and open-late eats from the kitchen. $15 and up. 6pm.
  • Candlelight: A Haunted Evening of Halloween Classics at the Bell Tower on 34th – The ivy-covered venue north of the Heights hosts a night of classical instrumentals that blend modern favorites like “Thriller,” Franz Schubert, and themes from popular series and movies like The Exorcist, Halloween, Ghostbusters and more. $45 and up. 6:30pm and 8:45pm.

  • Halloween Bar Crawl at FAO – Stop by for check-in at FAO in Midtown, then head out on a crawl through several venues like Unicorn Disco, Dogwood and Wonder Bar for Halloween Night bar hopping. $26. 4pm to 11:30pm.
  • Spirits of the Bayou Boat Tour at Allen’s Landing – Hear some of the lesser-known stories of ghosts, lost souls, and spirits of the bayou as tour guide Andrew Groocock unravels some of the haunted tales and legends of Buffalo Bayou. $40. 6pm.
  • Halloween Candlelit Concert at Post Houston | FREE – Monarch Chamber Players brings classical music to the Skylawn at Post, ushering in Halloween with a free concert open to the public of all ages. Standing room is free; reserved seating is limited and costs $15. 8pm.
  • The Neon Rouge presents The Spooky Spectacular at the Isis Theater – The Neon Rouge presents a Halloween edition of its monthly cabaret and burlesque show in the historic—and haunted—Isis Theater in Downtown. Jazz age attire and costumes are encouraged, and winner of the costume contest will bring home a prize worth $500. $35 and up. 8:30pm.
  • Halloween at Numbers Nightclub – The annual tradition continues with Halloween night dancing and surprises, plus more than $1,000 in cash and prizes for the costume contest, and more. Cover charge at the door. 9pm to 2am.
  • Biggest Halloween Party at Metropolis y Extravaganza – The West Houston Latin nightclub hosts a Halloween party with a costume contest, $5,000 in cash prizes and more. Cover charge after 10pm. 9pm to 2am.
  • Party 101 with DJ Matt Bennett at Rise Rooftop – The actor and DJ heads to the Midtown rooftop for a Halloween night set, joined by Disco Shrine. $18 and up. 10pm to 2am.
