- Drink Specials at Betelgeuse Betelgeuse on Washington Avenue & Montrose Boulevard | Daily in October – The Halloween-embracing bar and restaurant serves up spooky specialty cocktails the Frozen Gravedigger featuring Amares Verde Mezcal and Amaro Montenegro, This is Halloween with Maker’s Mark, and Purple People Eater with Clarified Still Austin Bourbon. Prices and times vary.
- Halloween Weekend at the 50th Annual Texas Renaissance Festival in Todd Mission | Saturday, October 26 & Sunday, October 27 – The fourth weekend of the Tex Ren Fest celebrates All Hallow’s Eve on the fairgrounds. Expect a weekend of rivalry in the enchanted worlds of kings and queens, knights, fairies and elves, with unique activities, crowd-pleasing performances and delicious eats. $24 to $35. 9am to 8pm.
- Haunted Galveston Tours, Destinations & More | Saturday, October 26 & Sunday, October 27 – Historic Downtown Galveston always carries a bit of intrigue, giving a nod to the storied haunts and ghosts that reside there. But in October, the dial turns up as locals and visitors lean into the Halloween spirit with tours, experiences, and more. Favorites include Galveston Historical Foundation’s Haunted Harbor Boat Tours, Cemetery Tours, Haunted History Ghost Tours of the 1859 Ashton Villa. Tours are also available on Saturday, October 19 and Sunday, October 20. Times vary.
- Haunted Historic Tours at The George Ranch | Saturday, October 26 & Halloween, Thursday, October 31 – Go back in time with a paranormal investigator and look for ghosts, time slips, and other supernatural occurrences from the past. $16. 6:30pm to 8:30pm both days.
- Spirits of the Bayou Boat Tour at Allen’s Landing | Saturday, October 26 to Halloween, Thursday, October 31 – Hear some of the lesser-known stories of ghosts, lost souls, and spirits of the bayou as tour guide Andrew Groocock unravels some of the haunted tales and legends of Buffalo Bayou. $40. 6pm.
- Drunk Dracula at the Emerald Theatre | Sunday, October 27 to Halloween, Thursday, October 31 – One daring actor tackles the tale of Dracula… after downing five shots of whiskey, hilariously attempting to retell the classic tale of Transylvania’s thirstiest vampire. Meanwhile, you can savor your craft cocktails as they are delivered directly to your seat. $49 and up. 7pm.

- Houston Heights Fright Night Halloween Bar Crawl at Christians Tailgate Bar & Grill – Explore multiple bars in the Heights and enjoy exclusive Halloween specials at each location. Expect eerie entertainment, ghoulish games, and delightful drink deals. $8.99 and up. 5pm to 11pm.
- Halloween Cocktail Class at William Price Distilling Company – William Price Distilling hosts a spooky evening of mixing and mingling over lessons on crafting the perfect Halloween cocktails. Expert mixologists will guide guests through the process, sharing tips and tricks along the way. $75. 6pm to 8pm.
- The Paranormal Experience at River Oaks Theatre – Head to the newly re-opened River Oaks Theatre for a spooky night of mystery and attempt to communicate with the other side with the paranormal investigator and an award-winning magician, Jamie Salinas. $65 to $75. 7pm.
- Houston Symphony: Halloween Silent Film Double Feature at Jones Hall – Party like it’s the Roaring ‘20s as the Houston Symphony brings you the unique magic of silent movies, as they were meant to be seen. Halloween costumes are encouraged. $34 and up. 7pm
- Nightbird’s Practical Magic Soiree at The Ballroom at Tanglewood – Dress as your favorite character from the movie, Practical Magic or other Witchy attire as the Fleetwood Mac tribute act, Nightbird hosts a Halloween concert and party. $35 per person. 7pm to midnight.
- Movies at Miller: The Addams Family at Miller Outdoor Theatre | FREE – Get creepy and get kooky, mysterious and spooky. Be all together ooky with Wednesday, Morticia, Gomez, Cousin Itt, and Uncle Fester (or is it?) at a screening of the classic 1991 comedy (PG-13). Costumes encouraged. 7:30pm.
- Classic Halloween at Numbers Nightclub – The Montrose staple hosts its classic ’80s dance night for Halloween with contests, giveaways, and more. Cover TBD. 9pm to 2am.
- Boo-Haus: RebŪke DJ Set at Bauhaus Houston – Experience RebŪke’s distinct soundclash of techno, house and early ‘90s rave at Bauhaus nightclub. $10 and up. 10pm to 2am.
- Nightmare On Kirby Halloween Party at Lumen – Don your most creative costume and compete in costume contest for a chance to win prizes at Lumen. Dance the night away to eerie tunes and enjoy delicious Halloween treats. $20 and up. 10pm to 2am.

- 5th Annual Hike, Bike & Fright Fest at M-K-T | FREE – M-K-T in the Heights throws out all the stops for its annual Halloween tradition. While the event is pet- and family- friendly, there’s plenty to appeal to the grown-ups, including the HallowGreen Market with 50 plant vendors, live DJs, complimentary beer from Eureka Heights, a Haunted Garden Patch photo op, tasty pop-ups and wicked deals at M-K-T shops, restaurants, and wellness destinations—including a pet costume contest and photo booth, Halloween cocktails, stilt-walkers, skaters, and creepy characters. - Halloween Party at Truck Yard Houston | FREE – The EaDo hot spot hosts a party with live music, food trucks, spooky cocktails, and a dog and adult costume contest. Noon to 11:30pm.
- Haunted Halloween Horror Market & Music Fest at The Wildcatter Saloon – Katy’s Wildcatter Saloon hosts horror movie celebrities, vendors, costume contests, trick or treating, live music, and more. $15. Noon to 1am.
- Halloween Paint & Sip at Galveston Bay Brewing – NASA scientist Dr. Tanya Rogers leads a 90-minute painting session where guests can paint a wooden pumpkin with custom artwork over brews at the Galveston brewery. $25. 2pm.
- Halloween Sip & Stroll at Bayou Bend – Embrace the spirit of Halloween as you discover magic and mystery in early America. Enjoy live music, reading tea leaves, storytelling, magic performances, hands-on craft-making, and a spirited audio tour. $40; $35 for MFAH members. 4pm to 7pm.
- Downtown Houston Halloween Bar Crawl at El Big Bad – Haunt the town and hop from one eerie venue to the next as the Downtown bar crawl offers themed cocktails, live entertainment, goodie bags, a costume contest, and more. $14.99 and up. 4pm to 11pm.
- Midtown Houston Halloween Bar Crawl at The Dogwood – Check in the at The Dogwood, then head out to multiple Midtown locations for themed cocktails, live bands and DJs, food and drink specials, and a $2000 costume contest. $19.99. 4pm to 11pm.
- Brews & Beats Halloween Party & Market at 8th Wonder | No Cover – Enjoy live DJ sets by PrynceDaDi, DJ Ray, DJ Bronson, SkrechySkrach, and DJ Nicky Z while browsing a vendor market, and enjoying 8th brews and cannabis drinks, and food trucks onsite. 6pm to 11pm.
- Elissa’s 147th Birthday Party at Galveston Historic Seaport – Celebrate the grand old lady, the “Official Tall Ship of Texas,” at the 1877 Elissa annual birthday party, complete with the return of the Elissa costume party with theme “Under the Water”, plus tarot card reading, free craft beer from Saint Arnold Brewing, food, custom birthday cake, live music from Houston’s Buxton, and a shipload of fun with the good and festive folks from Galveston Historical Foundation. $65. 7pm to 9pm.
- Houston Symphony: Rocky Horror Picture Show at Jones Hall – The interactive screening of Tim Curry’s campy cult classic includes a shadow cast, live musical accompaniment, and appearance by actress Patricia Quinn, who originated the fiery role of Magenta. - 16th Annual Montrose Bar Crawl | No Cover – The Halloween bar crawl tradition along the Westheimer Curve returns for another year. Kick off the night at Brasil and Poison Girl, before heading out to Wild, Pistolero’s, Roswell’s Saloon, and Boondocks. Prizes are handed out to the best costume throughout the night. 7:30pm to midnight.
- Halloweekend: Costume Party at Little Woodrow’s Heights | No Cover – Gather your ghoul squad and dress to impress for a chance to win some killer prizes in a costume contest and enjoy drink specials, creepy decor, and nonstop party vibes. 8pm.

- Underworld’s Halloween Bash at Numbers Nightclub – Dance to Goth, Industrial, EBM, and more as the Underworld dance night hosts its Halloween-themed party with live DJs, prizes, and a costume contest at the legendary Montrose nightclub, Numbers. Cover TBD. 9pm to 2am.
- Fantasy Fear Halloween Party at Decorum at Pour Behavior – The Midtown Halloween party will feature a set from DJ Alpha Music and a live performance by Johnny O singing his hits “Fantasy Girl”, “Highway Of Love”, “Memories”, and more. $25 and up. 9pm to 2am.
- Hallo-Queen! & Halloween Costume Contest at Axelrad Beer Garden | FREE – Celebrate all things Halloween at Axelrad’s annual drag show and costume contest, presented by Queen Persephone with performances by Barry Mii Dandy and Rachel Bitchface. - Flip Phone Drag Brunch: Hocus Pocus at Houston Improv – Join Mary, Winifred, and Sarah for an over the top Hocus Pocus-inspired drag brunch. Host Chevelle Brooks will lead as drag performers dance, lip sync, and entertain. $180. 2pm.
- The Shining Movie Screening at MFAH – Catch a screening of Stanley Kubrick’s terrifying 1980 adaptation of Stephen King’s novel, starring Jack Nicholson and Shelley Duvall at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston. $9; $7 for members, students with ID, and ages 65+. 5pm.
