• Sweat at Alley Theatre | Tuesday, October 19 to Sunday, October 24 – In Lynn Nottage’s play filled with humor and heart, factory workers’ friendships turn sour amid company layoffs and picket lines. Tickets start at $41. 7:30pm.
• Don Toliver in Concert at Bayou Music Center | Wednesday, October 20 & Thursday, October 21 – Hip-hop artist Don Toliver heads home to Houston for the Life of A Don tour. Rapper Bia will open the show. Tickets are $39.95. 8pm. 
• 39th Annual Galveston Island Oktoberfest at First Lutheran Church of Galveston | Friday, October 22 to Sunday, October 24 | FREE – Galveston celebrates Oktoberfest their way with festive dancing, beer and wine tasting, live music, art and crafts, and German food and drink. Times vary.
• Monster: The Music of Lady Gaga at Art Factory | Friday, October 22 to Sunday, October 24 – Just north of Downtown, Art Factory is calling all “little monsters” to enjoy this Vegas-style concert event inspired by the music of Lady Gaga, featuring two 45-minute acts filled with brilliant visuals and vocals. Tickets are $20. Friday and Saturday 8pm; Sunday 5pm.
• BBQ Cook-Off and Yellow Out Day Celebration at Billy’s Hall | Friday, October 22 & Saturday, October 23 – In Pearland, this two-day event features Texas’ most treasured food group—barbecue. Compete in the cook-off for a cash prize or enjoy the musical entertainment, silent and live auctions, and raffles. General admission is free to the public, but Saturday night’s special event tickets are $25 per person or $350 for a table of eight. 6pm both nights.
• 5th Annual Artumn Fest at CityCentre | Saturday, October 23 & Sunday, October 24 | FREE – Arts by Aaron teams up with CityCentre for a two-day art festival with live music, vendor markets, and backdrops for the perfect selfie. Saturday 11am to 6pm; Sunday noon to 6pm.

Monday, October 18, 2021 

• Marvelous Mondays at Events at the Tasting Room – Bring a few friends to Galveston for small bites, drink specials, and magnificent beach views. Angel Krueger, owner of My Face Lady, will be taking appointments for her med-spa services. Tickets are $10. 6pm to 9pm.
• Steak Night Monday at the Spot Sports Grill & Bar | No Cover – If you’d like to end your Monday with a juicy ribeye or T-bone steak, head to the Spot on Richmond Ave. Get a steak and two sides for $14.95, and enjoy their Monday night drink and hookah specials as well. 7pm to 10pm.
• Alice Cooper in Concert at Smart Financial Centre – Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Alice Cooper headlines a tour this fall with KISS guitarist, Ace Frehley, as special guest. Tickets range from $49.50 to $99.50. 7:30pm.

• Conway the Machine in Concert at Warehouse Live – Catch a set from Buffalo, NY hip-hop artist, Conway the Machine, as he travels to Houston for the Love Will Get You Killed Tour. Special guest Stove God Cooks will support the show. Tickets range from $25 to $55. 7pm.
• LGBTQ Game Night at Komedy Lounge – Join Komedy Lounge in Northwest Houston as they host an LGBTQ+ mixer and game night. Mingle, eat, drink, and enjoy a little friendly competition at their rotating game of the week. Tickets are $10 in advance; $15 at the door. 7pm to 11pm.
• That’s So ‘80s Trivia Night at Front Porch Pub | No Cover – Test your knowledge of cult classics and the best jams of the ’80s at this Midtown bar for Tuesday night themed trivia. 7:30pm.

Wednesday, October 20, 2021 

• Lilly Hiatt & Lydia Loveless in Concert at the Heights Theater – If your tastes range from country music to rock and roll, head to the Heights for performances by Lilly Hiatt and Lydia Loveless. The two artists combine their country music roots with an electric rock ‘n’ roll feel. Tickets range from $22 to $288. 7pm.
• Humpday Hootenanny at Dan Electro’s Guitar Bar | No Cover – Join DJ Jesse Salinas at Dan Electro’s in the Heights for some Wednesday night killer karaoke. This weekly series is a three-time Houston Press’ “Best Of” winner for karaoke and gives you a chance to unlock your inner pop star. 7pm to 11pm.
• Badflower in Concert at the Ballroom at Warehouse Live – The EaDo venue hosts rock band Badflower for a one-night show in support of their most recent album, This is How the World Ends. Tickets are $18 in advance; $22 at the door. 7pm.
• Poltergeist Movie Screening at Market Square Park | FREE – The Downtown District sets the Halloween mood with a screening of the 1982 film, Poltergeist, in Market Square Park. The film follows an average California family and their journey with spiritual beings and exorcism. 7:30pm.

Thursday, October 21, 2021 

• Blanket Bingo at Market Square Park – The Downtown District’s most popular event series is back for another week. Guests can bring blankets and lawn chairs as they play bingo games, listen to music, and win fantastic prizes. The $10 (cash only) admission includes one bingo packet. Additional games and daubers will be available for purchase. 6pm.
• Wine Walk at Market Street – The Woodlands’ Market Street is hosting its 17th Annual Wine Walk, celebrating all things culinary and wine with fine fare from beloved restaurants in the community along with live music and artisan vendor exhibits. Tickets are $65 for general admission; $95 for VIP. 6pm to 9pm.
• Midtown Movie Night: Hocus Pocus at Midtown Park | FREE – Bring a blanket and your favorite snacks to Midtown Park for its screening of the 1993 classic Halloween film, Hocus Pocus. 7pm to 9pm.
• California Honeydrops in Concert at Last Concert Cafe – Dine in and enjoy a performance from the California Honeydrops at this Downtown eatery and live music venue. Known for their blend of Bay Area R&B, funk, Southern soul, Delta blues and New Orleans second-line, the California Honeydrops bring vibrant energy and dance-party vibes to each show. • Andrea Bocelli with the Houston Symphony in Concert at Toyota Center – World-renowned opera singer Andrea Bocelli travels to Houston for a performance accompanied by the Houston Symphony. Tickets range from $80 to $360. 7:30pm.
• Laughs and Liquor: Brass Tap After Dark Comedy Show at the Brass Tap | No Cover – Hang out at Midtown’s Brass Tap for its weekly comedy night featuring some of Houston’s funniest comics. During the show, enjoy their $1 wings, drink specials and more. 8pm to 11pm.

Friday, October 22, 2021 

• Fright Night at Houston Art Center – This family-friendly community festival in Park Place sends visitors through its haunted house, plus you can enjoy an interactive art zone, games, a vendor market, or dive into the pumpkin patch. Stick around for a VIP art show after the event for 21+ only. Tickets are $15; $10 for ages 13 to 17; free for ages 12 and under. VIP tickets start at $30. 4pm to 9pm; VIP art show from 9pm to midnight.
• Everything Artzy Paint Party at 618 HTX – Local art instructor Zyn hosts a paint and sip party with good vibes all around in Third Ward. Tickets include all paint supplies. Additionally, VIP tickets include a bottle of wine or champagne. General admission is $25; VIP couples tickets are $85. 6pm to 9pm.
• Boo on the Boardwalk at Kemah Boardwalk | No Cover – Head to Kemah Boardwalk for their weekly Halloween event, featuring live music from the Boogie Man Band and Tracey Perez, as well as a screening of the 2020 animated film, Scoob! 6pm to 10pm. 
• Needtobreathe in Concert at Smart Financial Centre – Sugar Land hosts Needtobreathe’s Into the Mystery tour this fall. The Christian rock band will be joined by Switchfoot and the New Respects for their one-night show. Tickets range from $29.50 to $69.50. 7pm.
• Stephen Lynch in Concert at House of Blues – Comedian and musician Stephen Lynch makes a stop at the House of Blues to perform songs from his folk rock and Americana music comedy album. Tickets are $40. 7pm.
• Mon Laferte in Concert at Bayou Music Center – Chilean singer-songwriter Mon Laferte heads to Downtown Houston as part of her US fall tour. Tickets range from $39.50 to $99.50. 8pm.
• Half Beer Hawley in Concert at Shoeshine Charley’s Big Top Lounge – The ‘90s pop and hard rock cover band, Half Beer Hawley and the DDs, are breaking out their guitars for a fun performance in Midtown. Cover is $5. 9pm.
• Ardalan in Concert at Bauhaus – Tech house DJ, Ardalan, comes to Downtown Houston to fire up the crowd with his signature electronic groove. Artists Re’va and Laskø will support the show. Tickets are $15. 10pm.

Saturday, October 23, 2021 

• ArBOOretum at Houston Arboretum & Nature Center – The Houston Arboretum and Nature Center hosts its biggest family event of the year, featuring fall activities for all ages, including live animals, pumpkin decorating, train rides, a pumpkin patch, Halloween markets, and Houston’s only trick-or-treat nature trail. Tickets are $15 in advance for ages 3 and up; $20 at the door. 10am to 4pm.
• Texas Beer Fest at Kirby Ice House – As a nod to Oktoberfest, Kirby Ice House is hosting an event for hopheads to try different Texas-made beers. Enjoy music, food, and vote for your favorite beers and seltzers in different categories. Tickets are $30 for general admission; $45 for VIP. 1pm to 7pm.
• Saint Jhn in Concert at House of Blues – After topping the charts with his hit single “Roses,” Brooklyn-based rapper Saint Jhn makes an appearance at the Downtown music venue. Tickets range from $35 to $59.50. 7pm. 
• Luke Combs in Concert at Toyota Center – Grab your boots and jeans for a night with country music breakout star, Luke Combs. Special guests Ashley McBryde and Drew Parker will open the show. Tickets range from $25 to $65. 7pm.
• Jonas Brothers with Kelsea Ballerini in Concert at Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion – Join Nick, Joe and Kevin as they team up with country music star Kelsea Ballerini for the Remember This Tour in the Woodlands. Tickets range from $39.95 to $499.95. 7pm.
• Technicolor Night Market at Sawyer Yards | FREE – Sawyer Yards is hosting a soft opening of their new open-air night market concept, Technicolor Night Market. This after-hours tasting experience encourages visitors to experience vivid cultural exchange through food. 7pm to midnight.
• Fall Game Dinner at King Ranch Texas Kitchen – Treat yourself to a ranch-to-table dinner in Uptown with five courses of exquisite game and beverage pairings. Feast on things like wild boar, bison, wild antelope, and nilgai. Tickets are $95 per person. 7pm to 10pm.
• Playboi Carti in Concert at NRG Arena – Follow Playboi Carti’s journey from Soundcloud artist in 2017 to the big stage in 2021 at NRG Arena. The Atlanta rapper stops in Houston for the Narcissist tour in support of his upcoming album. Tickets range from $44 to more than $99. 8pm.
• Project Slaughter Halloween Party at the Silo – Lovers of all things spooky can plan their Saturday night in Northeast Houston at Project Slaughter. Take photos at the 360 photo booth, drink a cup of the free Monster Punch, and grab a bite to eat at local food trucks. Tickets range from $20 to $30. 9pm.

Sunday, October 24, 2021 

• Trick-or-Treat Market at Karbach Brewing Company | No Cover– Add some spook to your Sunday while perusing the booths of local artists and vendors. Enjoy beer and candy while swooning over cute pets dressed in costume. 11am to 6pm.
• Feels Brunch & Day Party at High & Dry | No Cover – High & Dry in Downtown brings the rooftop bar vibes of New York City and Chicago to the south. Try some of their curated cocktails to complete the mood. 11am to 8pm.
• TwoShoes Comedy at Spindletap Brewery – Watch as comedian Jaasonaa takes the stage with his beloved Granny in North Houston. Each ticket to the show comes with a free beer or wine token and pint glass. Enjoy the food truck on site and take part in the meet-and-greet once the show ends. This is a cash only event. Advance tickets are $50. 1:30pm.
• Decades Throwback Skate Party at the Skate Machine – Time travel back to the classic skating rink era at this Decades Throwback party in East Houston. Choose an outfit from your favorite decade to enter the costume contest and enjoy R&B and hip-hop hits from over the years. Adult tickets are $15. 2pm to 5pm.
• Indigo de Souza in Concert at White Oak Music Hall – Catch a set by indie artist Indigo de Souza, with support from Dan Wriggins, for her nationwide fall tour. Tickets are $15. 7pm.
• Comedian Ali Macofsky at Houston Improv – Stand-up comic and host of the Resting Bitch Podcast, Ali Macofsky takes the stage at the West Houston comedy venue. Tickets are sold by the table and range from $40 for 2 to $120 for 6. 7:30pm.
