- Galveston Restaurant Week | Daily – The culinary bonanza returns to the island for another year of breakfast, lunch and dinner menus at attractive price points from more than 40 restaurants. From beach-side Gulf dining and upscale steakhouses to messy burgers and hearty gumbos, Galveston has plenty to offer during Restaurant Weeks, which runs to Sunday, February 13. $20 to $45 for dinners; $10 to $20 for breakfasts, brunches and lunches. - Elton John in Concert at Toyota Center | Friday, January 21 & Saturday, January 22 – Picking up his farewell tour where he left off last summer, the legendary piano man plays back-to-back sets featuring all of the sing-along hits fans have come to know and love. $69.50 to $249.50, but you may find cheaper, better or hard-to-get seats on the online resale market. 8pm both nights.
MLK Day, Monday, January 17, 2022
- Betty White Birthday Bash at Angel Share | MLK Day, Monday, January 17 | No Cover – Raise a cocktail featuring the charming face of the iconic and recently departed Betty White at a special Monday event honoring her 100th birthday in Downtown. Happy hour all day. 4pm to midnight.
- Across the Universe Movie Screening at Axelrad | No Cover – If you’re still riding the high of Beatle Mania from the recent documentary, then catch a screening of the 2007 musical romance film, Across the Universe, and sing along to your favorite Beatles songs while you sip on offerings from Axelrad. 7:30pm.

- LetsDoThisHouston’s The H-Town Night Light Bike Ride – Starting off from Third Ward Tours, vibe to an all-H-Town artist playlist, celebrating Houston’s music culture while riding around the city on LED light bikes. $11.91; $ with bike rental. 7pm.
- An Evening with Allen Stone at White Oak Music Hall – The blue-eyed soul musician, who recently released his fifth studio album, Apart, comes to the downstairs stage at White Oak. Tickets are sold out at the venue, but you may find hard-to-get tickets using the TicketNetwork online marketplace. 7pm.
- Tacos & Trivia Tuesday at True Anomaly Brewing | No Cover – Join in for a game trivia with rounds focusing on general knowledge, visual cues, outer space, and more. First, second, and third place winners score gift cards and beer to-go. 7:30pm.

- Beetle Thursday at The Continental Club – Get back and bask in the sounds of the lads from Liverpool when Houston’s Beatles cover band takes over the MidMain venue. $10. 7pm to 10pm.
- Bryce Vine at Warehouse Live – The EaDo venue hosts the rapper known for his platinum-selling singles “Drew Barrymore” and “La La Land” from his debut studio album, Carnival. $30; $35 at the door. 8pm.
- Rebirth Brass Band with Tomar & the FCs at Warehouse Live – The boys from New Orleans bring their big, larger-than-life NOLA sound and spirit to H-Town, with Tomar and the FCs opening. $20 in advance; $22 day of show. 8pm.
- Tombz at Stereo Live Houston | FREE with RSVP – Dance into the wee hours of the night when the EDM and bass music DJ descends on the West Houston club. Free with RSVP; $5 for express entry. 10pm to 2am.

- Comedian Fortune Feimster: 2 Sweet 2 Salty Tour at Cullen Performance Hall – Known for her quick wit and starring in The Mindy Project, Fortune Feimster lands back in Houston at the main UH campus on her 2 Sweet 2 Salty Tour. $26.50 to $56.50. 7pm.
