Extend your weekend fun on Galveston Island into Sunday evening—or even Monday morning—with free fun and end-of-summer fireworks shows, during Stay and Play Sundays, happening weekly through Sunday, September 2, 2018.

Make the most of the final weeks of Summer and spend your full Sunday (and perhaps your Sunday night) on island, with free fun, long days at the beach, and a Sunday night fireworks show to close out your coastal weekend.

Weekly Firework Shows

Every Sunday night this summer, spectacular fireworks displays are launching over the Gulf of Mexico near Seawall Boulevard and 37th Street. Fireworks can be seen from around the island, but the clearest, most direct view is from Seawall Boulevard and 37th Street.

The crowd-pleasing Stay and Play Fireworks Shows kick off after the sun sets, between 9pm and 9:30pm on Sunday evenings until Sunday, September 2, 2018.

Bucket Brigade Tours

In addition to the show-stopping firework spectaculars, and Galveston’s many other attractions (see below to learn how to save with Galveston Island Pass), Sunday beach-goers and Island visitors can also join in free Bucket Brigade Tours.

These 45-minute, interactive beach tours provide a hands-on exploration of the creatures and features found in Galveston’s coastal and marine ecosystems.

Tours are offered at Stewart Beach, and begin at 9:30am, 10:30am, 11:30am, 1:30pm, 2:30pm, and 3:30pm. Sign up for a tour near the lifeguard station at the tour location, by the Bucket Brigade Tours sign.

For 2018, Bucket Brigade Tours are offered Wednesdays through Sundays until Sunday, September 2, 2018.
