Gather your gal pals and head out to Galentine’s events around Houston from Thursday, February 9 to Thursday, February 16, 2023.
What began as a fictitious holiday on the TV show, Parks and Recreation, Galentine’s Day has become a nonofficial celebration for female friendships on the days leading up to and after Valentine’s Day.
So, whether you’d like to show your besties how much you love them or take a day for yourself, we’ve got you covered with some of the socials, markets and more taking place in Houston.
2023 Galentine’s Events in Houston
- Immersive Photo Experience at TFTI Houston | Daily – Snap your Valentine’s and other seasonal shots in more than 18 immersive room installations—including the Infinity Mirror, Upside Down, Love Letters, and Pillow Fight rooms. Timed entry tickets are $28; $23 for ages 12 and under. Times vary.
- Galentine’s Chocolate & Wine Pairing at We Olive & Wine Bar | Thursday, February 9 – Celebrate your female friendships and sisterhood in the Heights with a guided olive oil tasting, followed by five wines with chocolate pairings. Attendees will also secure 15% off any retail purchases of olive oils, balsamic vinegars and other products. $30 and up. 6pm to 8pm.
- Galentine’s Day Pop-Up Market at Now or Never | Saturday, February 11 – Shop from more thirty women-owned businesses, nosh on a a special food menu and play games like pickleball, ping pong, pool and more. Enter to win a diamond tennis bracelet during the event’s raffle. $5 in advance; $10 at the door; free for ages 13 and under. Noon to 5pm.
- Galentine’s Day Fashion Show & Market at Post Houston | Sunday, February 12 | FREE with RSVP – Shop from more than 70 local women-owned businesses at this Galentine’s Day affair, complete with a fashion show and multiple photo ops. 2pm to 7pm.
- Brazos Galentine’s Day at Brazos Bookstore | Monday, February 13 | FREE – Join the gals on the Brazos Bookstore staff for a special Galentine’s Day open house featuring champagne, rosé, cookies, and, of course, extra browsing time for books. 5pm to 7pm.
- Galentine’s Beginner Calligraphy at Sable Gate Winery | Thursday, February 16 – Whether you’re a stationery nerd, DIY bride-to-be, or just a crafty individual, in this workshop you’ll learn an introduction to modern calligraphy with a pointed dip pen and ink at the Midtown winery. $65. 7pm to 8:30pm.
