Enjoy a stirring performance from the award-winning Taiwanese chamber ensemble Elite Artists Trio as they perform a program of music from their homeland on Saturday, August 8, 2015 at 7pm.

The lovely melodies of Taiwanese folk songs and classic classical works provide the perfect summer soundtrack as perform works from their debut album, Formosa Impression.

Pianist Sherry Chen Lin, violinist Chris Lin and cellist Ya Limu, all hailing from Taiwan, are each award-winning musicians in their own right and are famed for their large repertoire, which ranges from classic and contemporary chamber music to new works from Taiwanese composers. In 2014, the trio was honored with the prestigious title of Steinway Artist Ensemble.

Along with Piazzolla’s The Four Seasons of Buenos Aires, they’ll play Tyzen Hsaio’s The Formosa Trio and a selection of traditional songs, including “Song of Four Seasons,” “Embracing the Spring Breeze,” “Moonlight Sorrow” and more at this concert at the University of St. Thomas’ Cullen Hall.
