See why audiences have been laughing and squealing at the beloved play Deathtrap when the Pearland Theater Group stages it at the Pearl Theater from Friday, November 1 through Sunday, November 17, 2013.

Written by acclaimed playwright Ira Levin, who was perhaps best known for penning The Stepford Wives, the comedic thriller Deathtrap tells of a once-successful, now-desperately burnt-out and broke playwright. When he receives an imaginatively fantastic script from a student of one of his college seminars, he recognizes its hit potential and the two start collaborating. But not all is as it seems and suspense mounts steadily as the plot begins to twist and turn with devilish cleverness leading up to the final shocking moments.

Nominated for a Tony in its original Broadway run, and recently revived on the Great White Way, Levin’s ingeniously plotted thriller keeps the scares and surprises coming until the final curtain.
