• Comedian Tom Segura at Smart Financial Centre | Friday, January 28 – Most recently found in his fourth Netflix stand-up special, Ball Hog, Tom Segura brings his captivating brand of hilarious storytelling to the Sugar Land stage while on his I’m Coming Everywhere World Tour. $35 to $79. 7pm.
• White Oak Benefit Show Series at White Oak Music Hall | Friday, January 28 – Benefiting mental health services for the Houston music and arts scene, this special show will have local bands performing covers of songs from artists like Black Sabbath, Portishead, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Bruce Springsteen and more. $10. 8pm.
• Arbor Day Celebration at Houston Arboretum & Nature Center | Saturday, January 29 | FREE − Families and all ages can celebrate trees with nature hikes on the center’s trails and learn about the science behind how they grow and contribute to the world. 10am to 2pm.
• Sugar Land Space Cowboys Launch Party at Constellation Field | Saturday, January 29 – Celebrate the start of a new era for Sugar Land’s Triple-A baseball squad with a rebranding reveal open to fans, complete with food and drink, live music, stadium tours, fireworks, and more. $1 per person; stadium tours are $5. 4pm to 7pm.

• Comedian Ronny Chieng at House of Blues | Saturday, January 29 – Appearing as Jon Jon in the Marvel blockbuster, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, as well as a senior correspondent on Comedy Central’s The Daily Show, the award-winning Malaysian comedian stops by Downtown’s House of Blues for two sets of uproarious comedy. $35. 7pm and 9pm.
• Nickelodeon’s JoJo Siwa: The D.R.E.A.M. Tour at Toyota Center | Saturday, January 29 – The dancer, singer and YouTube influencer arrives in Downtown while on their debut tour supporting the EP releases, D.R.E.A.M The Music and Celebrate. $39.50 to $69.50, but you may find better or cheaper seats using the TicketNetwork online marketplace. 7pm.
• Monster Jam at NRG Stadium | Saturday, January 29 – Watch as 12,000-pound monster trucks hit soaring heights in a rip-roaring display of motorsport mania. $20 to more than $115, but you may find better or cheaper seats using the TicketNetwork online marketplace. 7pm.
• Jerry Rivera in Concert at Arena Theatre | Saturday, January 29 – For thirty years, the Puerto Rican singer-songwriter has been charting No. 1 singles in every decade, including songs like “Ese,” “Quiero,” and “Vuela Muy Alto.” He’ll arrive in Southwest Houston for an evening celebrating his storied career. $46 and up. 8:30pm.
• Taylor Fest at Warehouse Live | Saturday, January 29 – Gather with Swifties to celebrate the career-spanning works of Taylor Swift’s extensive catalog. In addition to hearing the smash hits and deep cuts, fans can also enjoy a photobooth, drink specials, and guest DJs. $12 in advance; $15 day of the show. 9pm.

• 2022 Autograph Show of Texas at Pasadena Fairgrounds & Convention Center | Saturday, January 29 & Sunday, January 30 – Bring some of your favorite memorabilia for autographs and snap a photo with superstars of the sports world including Pete Rose, Allen Iverson, Emmitt Smith, Ric Flair, the Undertaker, Hakeem “The Dream” Olajuwon, Clyde Drexler and many more. $10; free for ages under 12. • The Garden Theatre presents Not a Day Goes By: A Tribute to Stephen Sondheim at MATCH | Sunday, January 30 – Following Sondheim’s death last November, Houston’s newest theater company—which just staged Sondheim’s Into the Woods last fall as its first production—reunites the cast with some talented friends in a tribute to the modern musical theater legend. $20; $15 for students with ID and ages 65+. 7:30pm.
