- Godspell at A.D. Players | Daily – See the musical hit based on the Gospel of Matthew filled with plenty of ‘70s groove at A.D. Players Theater. Tickets start at $24. Thursday to Saturday 7:30pm; Sunday 2:30pm.
- Tiger Rock World Championships at George R. Brown Convention Center | Thursday to Saturday – Train, compete, and watch on at this martial arts event for all ranks in Downtown. Tickets start at $20. Thursday 8am to 5:30pm; Friday and Saturday 9am to 6pm.
- Dead Rock Star Sing-A-Long Club Musical at Rec Room | Thursday to Sunday – The second annual Dead Rock Star Sing-A-Long Club honors the most beloved musicians who have died within the year. This year, it’s George Michael and Sharon Jones and it’s all about romantic love. The audience will receive songbooks at the door and are encouraged to sing a long if they please. Tickets are $30 for the opening night and after party on Thursday; $20 and $15 with a student ID all other days. 8pm each day.
- Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone Concert at Jones Hall | Friday and Saturday – Watch a screening of Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone on the big screen while the Houston Symphony performs live at Jones Hall. Tickets start at $23. Friday 7:30pm; Saturday 2:30pm and 7:30pm.
- Alfred Hitchcock’s The 39 Steps at The Alley Theatre | Friday to Sunday – The Alley Theatre is putting a comedic twist on the classic film Alfred Hitchcock’s The 39 Steps by casting 4 actors to play 150 characters. This show is part of their Summer Chills series. Tickets start at $26. Friday 8pm; Saturday 2:30pm and 8pm; Sunday 2:30pm and 7:30pm.
- The Gondoliers at the Wortham Theater Center | Friday to Sunday – The all-volunteer cast of The Gilbert & Sullivan Society will put on this production about love in Venice. Tickets start at $28. Friday 8pm; Saturday 2:30pm and 8pm; Sunday 2:30pm.

- Blanket Bingo at Market Square Park – Lounge out on lawn chairs or blankets while enjoying a historic night out filled with music, fun, and bingo. Admission includes a packet of bingo cards, which are good for about ten games. $10. 6pm to 9pm.
- Jacqui Sutton and the Frontier Jazz Orchestra in Concert at Rothko Chapel – Jacqui Sutton and the Frontier Jazz Orchestra will perform jazz and bluegrass tunes from their first two albums at Rothko Chapel. Suggested $10 donation. 7pm.

- Cool Nights at the Houston Zoo – Stay late at the Houston Zoo for cooler after-hours admission, music, games, and learn all about the Zoo’s reptiles and amphibian residents. Included with admission. 7pm to 8:30pm.
