- Jeanne Robertson Live at The Grand in Galveston | Friday and Saturday – The former Miss North Carolina is bringing her humorous life lessons to the stage of The Grand in Galveston for two nights of shows. Tickets start at $22, not including ticket fees. 8pm both nights.
- Much Ado About Nothing at Miller Outdoor Theatre | Thursday and Saturday | FREE – Laugh all the way through this theatrical battle of the sexes comedy at Miller Outdoor Theatre. 8:15pm both nights.
- Tamarie for President at The MATCH | Thursday to Saturday – Tamarie Cooper is running for president and you won’t want to miss her campaign in musical form. Tickets are pay-what-you-can. Thursday 7pm; Friday and Saturday 8pm.
- Red Hot Patriot: The Kick-Ass Wit of Molly Ivins at Main Street Theater | Thursday and Sunday – Famous columnist Molly Ivins’ life and career will be the focus of this play at Rice Village’s Main Street Theater. This play is not recommended for children under 15. Tickets are $36; limited discounted $19.50 tickets available. 7:30pm both nights.
- Houston Astros vs. Texas Rangers at Minute Maid Park | Friday to Sunday – Get loud for the Astros when they take the field to play the Rangers in three-game series at Minute Maid Park. Tickets start at $15, but you may find cheaper or better seats on TicketNetwork’s resale site. Friday 7:10pm; Saturday 6:10pm; Sunday 1:10pm.
- Fantastic Galveston Race at Pier 21 | Saturday and Sunday – Add some adventure to the usual sightseeing tour while exploring the beautiful coastal city of Galveston at the Fantastic Galveston Race. Part Da Vinci Code, part Amazing Race, this team scavenger hunt will have you not just seeing the historic city, but interacting with it. - Henry V at Miller Outdoor Theatre | Friday and Sunday | FREE – Follow the story of young Henry V as he leads his country to war against France in a theatrical performance at Miller Outdoor Theatre. 8:15pm both nights.

- Hip Hop Dance Workshop at Discovery Green | FREE – ADC Studios will lead this one-hour hip-hop workshop for beginners and intermediate level dancers. This class is ideal for dancers between ages 8 to 17. 6:30pm to 7:30pm.

- Beatles vs. Stones Tribute Concert at Arena Theatre – It’s the ultimate classic rock showdown as Beatles tribute band Abbey Road takes on the Rolling Stones tribute Jumping Jack Flash at Arena Theatre in Houston.
