  • Hatha Yoga at Discovery Green | FREE Take a deep breath in during this free, bring-your-own-mat yoga class on the lawn at Discovery Green. 9am to 10am.
  • Galveston Heritage Festival at Kempner Park Learn all about Galveston’s immigration movement through performances from cultural groups and historic tours during the Heritage Festival. Tickets start at $6, not including ticket fees. 10am to 8pm.
  • Beats BBQ Brews at Revolver Bourbon Social | FREE to Attend 44 Farms and Blood Brothers will be serving up finger lickin’ bbq, DJ Seek will be spinning, and Karbach brews will be flowing during this event at Revolver Bourbon Social. Free with RSVP. 10am to 11:55pm.
  • Spider-Man Day at Children’s Museum of Houston Snap a photo with Spider-Man, try your hand at creating a web during the web sling showdown, and create a spidey mask during this Spider-Man themed event at the Children’s Museum. Entrance is included with general museum admission. 11am to 3pm.
  • Food Truck Fest in Humble | FREE to Attend It’s almost time to go back to school. Soak up the rest of your summer at the Back to School Food Truck Fest eating from trucks like Kona Ice, Mingo’s Latin Kitchen, Espresso Rescue, Cheezy Rider and more. 11am to 3pm.
  • Hawaiian Pig Roast at Kirby Ice House Sip on Kona beers, enjoy entertainment, feast on a Hawaiian-style roasted pig, enter the raffle to win a longboard, beach cruiser bicycle and more during this event at Kirby Ice House. Tickets are $20, not including ticket fees. 1pm to 7pm.
  • Open Studio at CAMH | FREE Create your own celebrity collage – inspired by Mark Flood’s current exhibition “Greatest Hits” – during Open Studio at CAMH. 2pm to 4pm.
  • Art Partay at PartayGarage Showroom | FREE Head over to the Heights for Art Partay featuring artists from the Harambee Art Gallery and enjoy beer, wine, snow cones and a food truck before taking a spin through the White Linen Nights in the Heights a few blocks away. 4pm to 10pm.
  • White Linen Night Pre-Party in the Heights | FREE to Attend Kick off White Linen Night a little early with live music from Craig Kinsey, food trucks, and shuttle service to the main event. 5pm to 8pm.
  • White Linen Night in the Heights | FREE Put on your whites and head to 19th Street for shopping, food, art, live music and more during the annual White Linen Night in the Heights. 6pm to 10pm.
  • Dixie Chicks in Concert at The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion The Dixie Chicks are back with their first headlining tour of the US in over ten years. The MMXVI World Tour will hit The Woodlands this Saturday night. Tickets start at $43.50, but you may find cheaper or better seats on TicketNetwork’s resale site. 7pm.

  • CityCentre 7th Anniversary | FREE to Attend CityCentre’s 7th anniversary celebration kicks off with scratch-offs featuring special offers at select area retailers and restaurants. All day.
  • Bayou Bikers Ride at Market Square Park | FREE – Join Bayou Bikers for a 25 to 40-mile ride along the bayous. Meet at Market Square Park. 8am.
  • Poke Akua Pop Up at Lincoln BarTry dishes like bluefin tuna poke bowl, spam musubi, wok seared edamame and more during this pop up with the chefs behind Poke Akua. A la carte menu items start at $4. 11am to 10pm.
  • Stilettos & Sandwiches Drag Brunch Picnic at The Raven Tower | FREE to Attend – Pack a picnic and join drag queens Titanica de Barge and Veronica Strutts for a Sunday Funday complete with games, drink specials, and giveaways. Food will be available for purchase, but you’re welcome to bring your own lunch. Noon to 4pm.
  • Thyme & Place Pop Up Dinner at Paulie’s RestaurantChefs Brandon Silva and Ben McPherson are teaming up for a six-course dinner at Paulie’s. Seats are limited and tickets are required. Cost of the dinner is $130. 5pm to 7pm.
  • Sublime in Concert at The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion Alternative rock band Sublime is headlining this concert with performances from 311, Dirty Heads, Matisyahu, and Tribal Seeds. Tickets start at $25, but you may find cheaper or better seats on TicketNetwork’s resale site. 5:30pm.
  • K Michelle in Concert at House of Blues – Experience R&B singer and star of VH1’s Love & Hip Hop K Michelle as she brings down the house at the House of Blues Houston. Tickets start at $43.87, but you may find limited discounted tickets for $31.50. 8pm.
