  • Family Storybook Circle at Museum of Fine Arts Houston | Tuesday, June 14 – Connect art with fun and entertaining stories in the galleries of the Museum of Fine Arts. Entrance to Family Storybook Circle is included with the museum’s general admission. 11:30am.
  • Free Museum Thursday in the Museum District | Thursday, June 16 | FREE – Each Thursday you can visit many of the Houston museums for free. Hours vary by museum, so click here for the full list.
  • Summer Art Explorers at the Museum of Fine Arts Houston | Thursday, June 16 | FREE – Explore works of art through games, toys, and storybooks in the galleries. 11am to 2pm.
  • Little Women, The Musical at AD Players Theater | Thursday, June 16 to Sunday, 19 – This classic tale of sisterhood is set to song at the AD Players Theater. Tickets are $40 for full price; $20 with discount. Times Vary.
  • Blanket Bingo at Market Square Park | Thursday, June 16 – Bring blankets and lawn chairs, or show up early to snag one of the tables at the park for a night of bingo games, music, and prizes. Tickets are $10. 6pm to 9pm.
  • A Bollywood Night at Discovery Green | Friday, June 17 | FREE – Learn a few dance moves while celebrating the art and culture of India during this free event at Discovery Green. Stick around for a screening of Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. 8pm.
  • Summer Symphony Nights at Miller Outdoor Theatre | Friday, June 17 to Saturday, June 18 | FREE – Enjoy one of the many free shows put on by the Houston Symphony at Miller Outdoor Theatre this summer during Summer Symphony Nights. 8:30pm.
  • Young Writers Workshop at Discovery Green | Saturday, June 18 | FREE – Take the kids to the free WITS workshop Downtown at the Discovery Green Reading Room. 10:30am.
  • Learn a Language at Discovery Green | Saturday, June 18 | FREE – Learn Spanish and French at the park with instructors from Mariana Charvet Aular. Children will learn Spanish and French in fun and effective ways in this class designed for toddlers through 9 years old. 11:30am.
  • STEM Saturdays at Discovery Green | Saturday, June 18 | FREE – Enjoy this hands-on Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) education program in the park for kids. 12:30pm.
  • Shrek: The Musical at the MATCH | Saturday, June 18 – Take the family to see everyone’s favorite ogre from the popular movie series come to life on the stage at MATCH with this presentation by Main Street Theater. Tickets are $16, not including ticket fees. Times vary.
  • Enchanted Forest: Daddy Daugher Dance in Deer Park | Saturday, June 18  Ring in Father’s Day with a special date night party for dads and their little princess(es), with dress, dancing, music and light refreshments included. 7pm to 9pm.
